The Forbidden Relationship

Chapter 19

Ezra's pov

"Are you joking?" Shadow asks me. I showed her a way of training that Kanan taught me awhile ago that could be played as a game. "It's not so bad." I say. "Yeah it is. We might as well do something that I usually do." She says. "You played games?" I ask sarcastic.

"No I killed people and ate their liver." She says. "What?" I ask. "Just kidding!!! Now give me your com." She says. "Why?" I ask her. "Just trust me." She says. I sigh and give her my com. "So the game is, I'm going to pick a random one of your contacts and I'm going to text them five words." She says. "I'm breaking up with you."

I look at her confused. "But I don't have a girlfriend." I say. "Yeah that's the funny part." She says. "I don't know about this." I say worried. "Too late already picking one of your contacts." She says with a smile. "Who's Sabine Wren?"

My eyes widen. "Karabast." I say. "What? Who is she?" Shadow asks me. I give her a look to explain everything. That's when Shadow's jaw drops. "Do you have a crush on this girl?" She asks me. "What?!?! No!!! She's just a friend but it will just be weird." I say. "That's what this game is for." She says and begins typing.

"I'm......breaking.....up with...you." She says. "Send." I put my hands on my face. This is going to be embarrassing. "Oh my Galaxy!!!!" She shouts. "What?" I ask her. "She's already writing back!!!" She shouts in laughter.

"Oh my force!!!" I shout. "Wow she's writing a few things...." Shadow says while scrolling down at all the messages. "You know what let's put that to the side." She says and sits down. "Let's just talk for now." She says and pats on the ground for me to sit. I then sit down on the ground.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for.......everything." She says. "Like what?" I ask her. She gives me a mad look. "I almost killed you with those nuts and almost killed your friends!!!!" She shouts. "Don't worry about the nuts. It wasn't as bad as being force choked, that's a real pain." I say.

"You don't understand. Before I took you to the cave, I felt....evil." She says. "Don't say that." I tell her. "It's true!!! I truly felt like a killer. I forgot about my past and what was important to me. It soon got replaced by the Empires beliefs." She says. "I don't know what happened to me."

I just look at her. The Empire must've filled her head up with lies. "Well you found your way back to yourself and that's all that matters." I say. She smiles and looks like she wants to tell me something else but stays silent.

"So are we going to check what Sabine is writing or are we just going to sit here?" I ask her with a smile. Her face brightens. "Oh yeah let's see the damage." She says and takes out my com. At first she stays silent looking at the texts.

"Well.......first message is in all caps... WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!?!?" Shadow shouts. "Ohhhhh karabast." I say. "There's more. Second one is EZRA DID YOU THINK WE WERE DATING?!?!" She shouts in laughter. I would laugh if I wasn't so afraid of what's going to happen later.

"First off, this Sabine doesn't even try to break it to you that you two were never dating nicely. She just shouts like she hates you." Shadow says. I just shrug. Classic Sabine.

"You know what, I'm going to text her back." She says and starts typing. "Wait what are you going to write?" I ask her. "I'm just going to write the simple screw you." She says. "No don't!!! She will get mad!!!" I shout. "Too late already sending it." She says. I sigh in anger.

"Wow she already responded. Sabine said who is this?" She said in a confused tone. "Doesn't she know it is you?" Shadow asks me. I nod confused myself. "She's very weird." Shadow says and hands me back my com. I quickly write to her that my com was not malfunctioning and started to write strange things.

"That was a really messed up game." I say. "Yeah not one ended well." She says. "But then why did you....wait what time is it?" I ask her. "5:30." She says. It's been two hours!!!! "Oh no Kanan's going to flip!!!" I shout.
