Curious (Newt Scamander X Slytherin!Reader)

A/n: I want to be updating Fantastic as well but I can't find my screenplay rip. Anyways, have ANOTHER UPDATE

 Newt woke me up by shaking me until I came to my senses. "What!" I said, angered.

"Your next task is in a week and you still haven't figured out the clue as to what the bag of seeds will be used for, or where it will be taking place."

"Thanks for the criticism, really. Could you help me up? I need to run by the library." Newt took my hand and pulled me onto my feet. I was sore from the day before where I had to take care of my Nundu, making sure he got enough exercise, "I honestly don't understand how you aren't utterly exhausted from yesterday." Newt simply shrugged.

I quickly fixed my hair and put on my robes, then met Newt back in the common room where we decided to head out to the library. "What are you looking for exactly?"

"My common sense tells me that I will need to grow these seeds, so I'm going to look for a potion that will rapidly grow them, or maybe a spell. I don't really know."

"Is that even a thing?" Newt questioned.

"I guess we'll find out, now, will you help me or not?" He nodded, and we went off to the library, which was practically barren. "I'm surprised no one's here." I commented.

"Me too, but it is breakfast time so I guess that explains it."

"Oh, right." I mentally facepalmed. I grabbed as many books as I could find before setting them in front of Newt, and sitting beside him. "We may also find what type of plant will come from this seed, see what I'm up against." I sat up against Newt, leaning on his shoulder and reading.

Hours passed by, shifting our position and being asked by people as to what we were doing, a few asking if we were a couple. I responded with 'I think so,' and Newt said yes.

"I've got it!" Newt moved, and I fell onto the floor, "sorry," he muttered, "Anyways, the seed you have is known as Venomous Tentacula-"

"Well that's just great isn't it! What the hell am I going to do with it?"

"How should I know, all I've done is identify the damn thing."

"Yes, yes, and it's very helpful. I'm going to go back to reading, then I need to visit Karma and feed him."

"I could do that for you, I'm getting stiff in this position."

"Alright, I'll meet you down soon. I think I've found something that may work."

"See you soon," Newt stood up, leaving a peck on my lips before going to care for our Nundu. I stayed, thinking of ways this deadly plant could be used against me. I knew that the best thing I could do was read up on the plant, since I had found a way to get the plant to grow rapidly. I took the book that was in Newt's spot and opened up to the page and read it.

My new knowledge let me know that the plant was very dangerous, quote, 'The Venomous Tentacula is a green, spiky, toothsome plant with mobile vines that try to grab living prey. Venomous Tentacula expels venom from its shoots, and its spikes are deadly. Its bite is highly poisonous and can prove fatal.'

From my guess, I would have to go to the greenhouse to complete this challenge, grow the plant and possibly make something to be safe from it. That was my guess, at least.

I checked out the book about the plant and went off to find Newt, and possibly some food, I was starving.
