A/n: What another update what's this?! Also, longer than normal, soon have fun!

"(L/n)," called out the headmaster, "I forgot to add, you cannot use magic on the bag, you must procure it by other means. Best of luck!" That made it a hell of a lot harder. I let out a frustrated sigh, thinking of ways to steal the bag from the Nundu. Pinching the bridge of my nose, I walked out of the tent and into the arena.

"This uses more wit that bravery. Figuring out how to do this is going to be a nightmare," I spoke to myself. I took in the sight before me, no creature, yet there was a giant door with something behind it that was continuously banging against the door. I gulped.

Around me was basically nothing, except some rocks and boulders to hid behind, and a bag, that was in front of me, emitting an aroma that seems to have intoxicated the animal. The ground was slippery, tough to keep my balance.

The door started scraping the sides of the arena, until the mechanics inside could be heard, twist and turning until the gate was open enough for the Nundu to go through. I cursed to myself, seeing the creature before me frightened me, it was not so small and cute as I had seen it before.

It opened it's mouth, staring straight at me, and let it's deadly breath flow out in my direction. Quickly, I dove towards a large boulder and hid behind, seeing the breast makes it's way to the side of me. I took out my wand, stood up, and faced the Nundu, "Langlock!" The stream of magic hit the beast, and it's mouth closed shut, unable to open, "Ha! Can't kill me with that breath of yours if you can't open your mouth!"

The Nundu then leaped towards me, showing it's claws, "I was wrong!" I rolled to my side, escaping the Nundu for a second. "Sectumsempra," I cried out, terrified. I left a small wound on the animal, and it cried out in pain to the best of it's abilities, considering it's mouth was locked shut.

Frantically, I ran to the bag, the Nundu beating me to it. "I'm sorry that I hurt you. Ferula!" I wrapped the wound I had created, which confused the Nundu. The crowd was equally as confused, as I just stood before the Nundu, nothing happening, no fight.

After being around Newt for so long, I grew to care for all animals. Instinctively, I put my hand out to the Nundu, and placed it on it's head. I hummed the tune my grandmother taught me, which the beast found pleasing enough, as it then laid onto the ground. I was to afraid to undo the spell which held the Nundu's mouth shut, to scared that I would be plagued with diseases if I did.

I didn't stop humming, and the Nundu seemed to be under my control, in a way. "Um... Sit." I commanded, wondering if the words my grandmother once told me were true, 'Sing this to any creature and they shall then be yours.' Her words proved true as the Nundu sat at my feet. I gasped with glee, I had sung it correctly!

Gasps could be heard from the crowd as I took the bag of seeds from beside the beast. I pet the back of the Nundu, as he stayed calm, and I counter langlock. "Lay," I commanded. As the crowd cheered, I had a pet Nundu at my feet.

"That was bloody incredible!" "How did you do it?" "What happened there!" Where common phrases I heard, as I went back to the tent to collect my thoughts, and wait for the others to complete their battle with an animal.

"(L/n), good job. You now seem to have a pet Nundu, you may keep him if you wish." Spoke the headmaster. Quizzically, I responded with 'really?' I got a nod in response, "However, the beast must stay at school with us until you graduate and find a place for him." I nodded, knowing how excited Newt would be.

As if on cue, Newt came running into the tent, picking me up and spinning me around, "You did it!" was all he kept repeating until setting me down.

"Want a pet Nundu?" I asked Newt. His eyes lit up with excitement, replying with the phrase, 'would I ever!' I let him know that I would teach him how to subdue the creature so no harm would come. Newt was practically over the moon at the moment.

He collected himself before asking, "So, what's in the bag?" I shrugged in response, deciding to open it here and now. "Seeds? What will you be doing with seeds?"

"How should I know, I barely passed herbology!" He laughed, before taking me out into the crowd to watch the others face their creature. I closed the bag, and put it into my robe. I was greeted with words of encouragement wherever I went.

After me was Beck Blase, from Durmstrang, going up against a Chimera. Then Oliver Koel, fighting a Basilisk. I had wished I could have fought either if the other two, as the creatures were marvelous, yet the males took much longer than I did to get the bags from the creatures.

Once everything was finished, I was announced the winner of the challenge, which caused an uproar from the Hogwarts students, and a quick kiss from Newt, which was photographed by the journalist nearby. "Told you I'd win," I whispered into Newt's ear, as we walked of the the dorm rooms to sleep.
