Chapter Twenty-Four:

Cecilia's POV:

Caleb sat down on the floor behind me playing with blocks as I helped out the pregnancy moms with their stretches. Once they were finished, a couple of people came in to work-out. Some were young and they turned up the music to work-out too.

Caleb complained about the noise so I placed some headphones over his ears. He frowned at me but once he couldn't hear anything he began laughing. I shook my head at him and turned back to help out some of the people in the gym.

I had hired a new trainer that I went to high school with. He was in my weight room class and he was a cool guy. His name was Jake.

I kept glancing at Caleb just to watch him and to make sure he wasn't getting into anything that could harm him.

I glanced back again and I saw Max approaching the garage. I smiled and excused myself from talking with some of the young guys and I went over to the garage doors.

"Hey!" Max said happily. He stepped up into the garage and I turned to gesture to Caleb who was still going with building his towers and knocking them down. Max laughed along with me.

"Listen, I got really excited last night and I just wanted to apologize." He admitted.

"Why would I get mad by seeing you happy to spend time with Caleb? I was terrified you wouldn't want anything to do with him."

"Are you kidding? I want everything to do with him and you!"

"He's all yours." I smiled.

"Thanks, Ce." He said placing his hand at the small of my back. I turned to him and nodded.

"Don't worry, Max." I assured. I glanced at his lips briefly and I went to turn away until his hand wrapped firmly around my waist and he pressed his lips to mine sweetly. It was no tongue and teeth like last time, it was just a nice kiss.

I smiled and he pulled away and stepped back and did his nervous trait of scratching the back of his neck.

"S-sorry." He stuttered. His lips were slightly more puffy and I couldn't help but blush.

"It's okay...I liked it."

We stared at each other briefly and I walked towards Caleb. I bent down and he paid no mind to me and I took off his headphones. He glanced at me and pouted. I picked him up and he whined.

"No!" He said holding onto one block.

"Caleb you're going out with daddy." I said pointing to Max. He turned his blue eyes to look at Max and in about a few seconds he held out his arms for Max to take him. Max took him and he held out the block to him.

"You excited buddy?" Max asked him while taking the block from his hand. I took it and placed it into his block bag.

I walked with them outside and grabbed Caleb's car seat and went to Max's vehicle.

"Stop you have a minivan." I giggled and he shrugged.

"When Stella told me I was a dad I was in a tough situation." He shrugged. I laughed and hooked up Caleb's car seat and Max buckled him in.

I reached in and planted a kiss on Caleb's cheek.

"Bye little man, be good." I said, while Max got into the driver's seat.

He pulled back and rolled down Caleb's window and Caleb began laughing and waving to me.

"Say bye to mommy." Max said and Caleb said bye and I blew him a kiss as they pulled away. I smiled and jogged back towards the gym to get a nice workout in.
