Chapter Twenty-Eight

Cecilia:

I dropped Caleb off to Anne who offered to watch him as Max wanted to have a movie night. His house was empty due to Stephen still being away and Stella out with Jackson.

We sat in the den and I had on a pair of our old Varsity lacrosse sweatpants. and a plain black t-shirt. Max had on a pair of shorts and a navy blue shirt. He was in the kitchen while I surfed through Netflix. We were watching 21 Jump Street whether he liked it or not.

He came back in and sat down a glass of rum and coke for me. I was basic, I know. While he sat down a Heineken for himself. He flopped down on the bed part of the sofa, I played the movie and turned and frowned at him.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, Andrews?" I asked and his eyes widened.

"Excuse me?" He laughed.

"You know that since you married Katherine that whenever I come over, that right there is my spot." I said.

"You haven't been here in a while, your status has worn off." He smirked. I shook my head and laid on top of him so that my hair was in his face and I stared up at the ceiling.

"I'm like eating your hair." He said. I laughed and he moved me to the side and he scooted up a tiny bit and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I laid my head on his chest and drew patterns across his torso.

"You know how many times I watched this movie since you left? Especially after you said you liked it too." He chuckled.

"I love Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Stella always complains and says I watch it too much."

"Nah, you're good." He said running his fingertips just under my shirt. I squirmed at his touch because his fingers were cold from his beer.

"Your fingers are cold!" I said turning into him. He just laughed and moved his hand more and I stopped his wrist. I was always self conscious of my body. I went through periods in elementary school where I was over weight, then under weight and now I was physically fit. However, I had several stretch marks across my stomach from Caleb, I hated the ones on my thighs and now I have more.

"You okay?" He asked.

"I have several stretch marks on my stomach now from Caleb." I said quietly.

"I love your stretch marks." He said running his hand along my thigh.

"Especially the ones that Caleb made. Can I see?" He asked hesitantly. I sighed but lifted my shirt to reveal the jagged skin on my stomach. He ran his hand over them and then reached down and began attacking my stomach in kisses.

I giggled like mad and begged for him to stop. Once he did I clung to him tightly and snuggled right into his chest. Max looked at me like I was the most gorgeous girl on the planet and I loved the way he made me feel. It made me feel confident. No one has ever looked at me like that.

"Your body is perfect, you know that right? You're so pretty." He said lightly moving a few strands of my hair.

"Say you never married Katherine and you never knew us. If I was in a club or something would you still get my digits?" I laughed and he smiled and laughed as well.

"Hell yeah I would. Especially if you were wearing that little black dress you wore for Stella and Stephen's birthday dinner." He said and I looked at him.

"The skin tight black one that ends before my knee, with the little slit in the back? It has sleeves but the shoulders are bare." I said.

"That one. That dress looks really good on you."

"So while we were celebrating you were staring at my body? Max you were still married." I fake gasped.

"You know what Katherine was? She was desperate and I loved it. When I first met her she was all over me and the attention was amazing." He said.

"But now you grew up and realized you can't be the husband to a lady cougar." I pointed out.

"Exactly." He grinned moving over so that he was hovering over me. He pushed my legs apart with his and stared down at me.

"Maxwell your housemates could come home any minute." I said and he pulled his phone out to check the time.

He showed me a text of Stella saying she would be staying the night at Jackson's.

"Stephen's flight doesn't get in until nine tomorrow morning." He smirked.

"So your plan was to seduce me because you have the house to yourself?" I asked.

"Doll, I don't need to seduce you." He said bending down and pressing light kisses to my exposed collar bones. I smiled and tugged on his hair and he groaned. I knew he loved having his hair pulled.

He pulled back and his lips met mine softly.

"You're perfect." He murmured.
