Chapter 9: His/Her Confession of Love

Hailee's Pov:

Alam kong set up lahat ng ginawa ni Cheska kanina. She threatened me that she'll tell him about my feelings for him. Nagpakaselfish ako.

I don't want him to know but when I saw how she suffered, I realized that I am not the only person who's suffering right now.

Nakita ko ang determination niya upang ipagtapat niya ang totoong feelings niya para sa pinsan kong gago. Nakakabaliw talaga ang pag-ibig.

"Evren.." I approached him. He smiled at me. Damn that smile! He just took my breath away.

"Hailee, you're stunning!" I felt my cheeks reddening. Isang compliment lang galing sa kanya, iba na ang dala nito sa akin. "May I have this dance?" He asked and I obliged.

Hinila niya ako malapit sa veranda. We were dancing under the moonlight. The scene was perfect. Perfect for my confession but I know that my confession will ruin this moment.

Mapupugto ata ang hininga ko dahil sa sobrang lapit niya. He placed my hands on his neck while he placed his on my waist.

Sinayaw niya ako at nararamdaman ko ang di mapaliwanag na saya na lumukob sa puso ko. "Evren.. I, I have something to tell you." 

"What is it?" He asked. I breathed in. Parang may karera sa puso ko nong oras na yon. Mababaliw ata ako.

"I.. Ano.." I bit my lip. "I.. I like you Evren! Shit! Nakakahiya!" Humiwalay ako sa kanya at napaupo sa sahig sabay takip sa mukha ko.

He didn't utter a word. Kaya dahan-dahan kong inalis ang kamay ko sa mukha ko at tiningnan siya. He was not looking at me but he was looking at something. Tumayo ako at tiningnan din yong tinitingnan niya.

He was not looking at something, he was looking at someone, a person who's close to his heart. It breaks my heart knowing that he's in love with someone else.

I saw Cheska's face of sadness and gloominess. She was crying and she was uttering some words to my bastard cousin.

I also saw her running away from my cousin. And I also saw how Evren's emotion changed, it stings me in the inside.

He was about to follow her when I stopped her, "Don't." I said to him.

He gave me an apologetic look. "I-I'm sorry, Hailee. I am in love with her." As soon as he said those words, I let go of his hand.

I realized that he is also in love with her.

Evren's Pov:

I need to run after her. Ano na naman kaya ang sinabi ng gagong yon sa kanya?
