Chapter 19: Intolerable Pain

Cliche's Pov:

Tumakbo na ako at nagdrive ng mabilis papunta sa MMC. Buti at di traffic dahil mababaliw na ako.

Tumakbo ako sa emergency room at naabutan ko siya na nirerevive. I was in dazed. I felt an intolerable pain in my heart. I felt the tearing sounds inside my heart.

I don't want her to die!

"It's still a line, Doc!" I heard the nurse said.

"We're not giving up!" They revived her again.

My tears kept on flowing freely from my eyes, I was stoned in my position.

This is all my fault! This is all my fault!

Kung di ko lang siya tinaboy at humingi ng space, di sana aabot dito. Ayokong mawala siya!

My phone suddenly rang, I answered it unconsciously. "What happened to her, Cliche?" I heard Lyza's mom on the phone. I can feel how tense she was.

"I--I'm sorry, Miss Elgrande. S-She got into a car accident," Naluluhang sabi ko.

"Where is my daughter?!" Narinig kong sigaw ng ama ni Cliche.

"MMC." Maikling sabi ko at binabaan na nila ako ng tawag.

Tulala lang ako lalong-lalo na no'ng ni-revive siya uli. I felt helpless but the only thing I did is to pray to Him. I know, He'll grant my prayer, I just need to put my trust on Him.

I silently prayed to Him. "God, I know I haven't been good to You, to this girl but please save her from danger. Please don't take her away from me. I might die if You will. I'm not ready to lose her because You know that I am in love with her. I'm willing to lose everything for her, I can't promise anything but I'm sure that I will treasure her just like how You treasured her. Please bring her back to me. This is all I ask to You, my God."

And a miracle happened! "Her heartbeat's back to normal!" Napangiti ako sa sinabi ng doctor.

Dumating na rin ang mga magulang ko at magulang ni Lyza. Malungkot ang mga mata ni Mr Elgrande habang umiiyak naman ang ina ni Lyza.

Lumapit sa akin si Mama at yumakap sa akin. "Ma, I was so scared of losing her!" Umiiyak na sabi ko.

My mom was also crying and she hugged me. Papa just tapped my shoulder but I know that he's also comforting me.

Dumating na rin si Ursula kasama si Denver at si Peach. Sumunod ang GG. Agad namang tumakbo si Ice sa akin at yumakap.

Tulala lang ako at yumakap pabalik. I know that it's a battlefield inside Lyza's room. I wish she'll fight for herself, for us.
