Towards the second part of the interrogation, she leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"So, in Amsterdam, in Novemeber, did you meet Suarez and not Franco, right?" Her lips barely touching his earlobe, her chest pressed against him, her body against his gave the sightless tremble...
"No...Suarez is an imbecile...Franco, on the other hand..." the fact that this name, in that city, escaped his lips made his heart quickened the tiniest bit for Alex to know that she had all the information that they needed, and more. He tried to cover up his mistake: "is also an ass idiot, whose mother should have drowned at birth. He's as useless as..."
"...you? Not so much. It was a great displeasure doing business with you. Thanks love." She said, dismounting him with grace and a flourish of her hand on his neck that paralyzed him and knocked him out for the next couple of hours.
"Bravo. I must say, I almost want to applaud. I couldn't have done it better myself."
Finn was still dazed enough that he didn't comprehend how the half-naked conversation was supposed to be an interrogation. "I don't get it. So he met with a kid in Amsterdam a year ago. That doesn't tell us much, nothing you guys talked about made any sense, or sounded like information."
"That's because you're not trained to listen, only hear. And you don't hear what really matters. Our friend," she said as she got dressed again. "Our sleepy friend met with Franco in Amsterdam, after doing a few jobs for separate organizations affiliated with rogue activity--meaning organizations that say a bunch of mombo-jombo about wolves taking over humanity and whatnot, so that they can run wild and free hyped up on wolf-enhancers in broad daylight instead of in the dead of night in some run down building, running into walls and getting stuck in air-vents. Not that they mind that much when they're that far gone, mind you. Franco is an informant for one of the officers that work for the nepotistic branch opened just for the nephew of the new minister of the mid-lands region, that's by the Balkans. He's supposed to infiltrate and gather information, methods and names of the new age-drugged up rogues, the ones that are antiestablishement and hippies, and whatnot. So does Suarez. Suarez is an in-and-out of rehab informant, and Franco is his best-buddy from when Suarez went to college, who coincidentally, also attended the same school as the nepotism-hire nephew. Not the same years, though. Raj was hired for the Deathdealers after two failed missions on the same target, aiming to take out one of biggest wolf enhacing drug lords of the Pacific Rim, back in March. That was a big score for the council, who gave a bigger budget to the new branch who we had to thank for that. They hired him after they were infiltrated. It looks like they've been planning this hit for years, but their numbers are not that great, and most of their muscle is hired outside their group through the black markets, information that he just spelled out for us, and they wont stay after the money runs out. They send him to get us, of course. They know that wolves like us, who have a little more loyalty, will fight them before they can topple the council from the inside...after that, I don't think they shared with him the rest of the plan..."
"...and I doubt they even have one. I don't know any wolves who'd want our kind exposed to humans." Finn said, catching up. "We have to turn him over to the authorities. He's a dangerous black-market thug, and I don't want him anywhere near my pack. He'll be enjoying round-the-clock by my trackers and guards."
Alex gave him a doubtful smile. "That's because your pack hasn't been exposed to enhancers yet. They are more of a citywolf thing...for wolves that can't get running on the moon. Its starts off just wanting to feel that runner high we get of paw against dirt...not wanting to feel couped up...but one gets addicted fast, and hard. Some wolves can't be completely weaned off of it--it can also add a kick to their strength...like steroids--but faster and way more effective."
