Alex arrived at the more formal pack meeting wearing a dress and heels, with a sports jacket and a scarf to make her look a little less formal in case she had misread the invitation.

Thankfully, most people were dressed similarly, some girls, the younger ones, going all out in full party-clubbing-attire. She did notice, however, that Carly Williams was giving her the evil eye.

"Great..." She muttered while taking a seat, crossing her legs, and checking her email for any updates from the Holy Council and the Deathdealers.

"Oh my god, I love your shoes!" Lisa came to seat beside her, as the rows of tables had been changed, on Finn's backyard, for big round tables and smaller cocktail tables for the party.

Alex had sat at a cocktail table, hoping for limited interaction. The remaining seat would either be for Declan or one of Lisa's friends. Alex hoped for the later.

Unfortunately, Jesse Anderson came to sit with them, bringing with him a couple of sodas and a beer. "Hey there girls, how is it goin?" He was all smiles.

"Ahm, hi?" Lisa answered, her tone more of a question, like why he was talking to them.

"So, why are the cutest girls at this party sitting by themselves?"

"Well, the party has not started yet, but the meeting is almost started...So, we're waiting...?" Alex said calmly, scooting as far away from him as she could.

"So, you're both seniors with Mercy, right? I was remembering that a few couple years ago when I was a senior, we used to throw this amazing party at the end of the year, it was tradition that we'd keep it a secret from the lower grades. I was wondering if you girls would help me and Mercy bring that tradition back...what do you say?" He was overly confident. He actually winked at Alex.

"I'd say it still is November." Alex answered him.

"Wow, you're so smart. You know, Mercy said you were really smart...and beautiful, real pretty." He had tried to wow her like he would any other eighteen year old.

"So, I 've heard..." Alex was trying really hard to be civil, she did not want to attract attention to herself. "My boyfriend tells me that all the time."

"Oh, you have a boyfriend...of course someone like you would have a boyfriend. Is he around?" He said lazily looking around.

Lisa caught on. " No, doesn't he go to college in London? But anyway, my boyfriend is here, we're saving him a seat." Lisa said calmly.

"Oh, yeah, and who is the lucky guy?"

"Jack Linden." Said Lisa, waiting for him to run, scared.

Jesse went pale, and gulped. " Oh yeah, friend of your brother...right. Well, it was nice chatting with you girls, have fun." He skidded away, and ran into a little kid who dropped his drink.

Lisa and Alex were trying really hard to not to giggle.

"So, who is this Jack?"

Lisa smiled devilishly. "Well, he is my older brother's best friend, they're in college up north, and he said that if anyone ever bother me, to tell them he was my boyfriend. And that has saved me from a ton of loser pigs  trying to score. He is like badass, super macho dude who used to play cowboys and aliens with me when I was little."

The meeting went by fast, with updates on the purchase of more running land and forest, classes being offered, a curfew for the younger pups, and the welcoming of new ideas to stay true to some of their roots. "The Harvest Festival was a huge success, not only in bringing us together as a pack, but as a means to remember our roots and our traditions. There is a lot of culture in our shared history, a lot of almost-forgotten traditions that we should not lose in this modern age." Finn was relaying on his speech, "I want the younger generations to know where they came from, and in an effort to make it happen, I will be open to bringing back a few traditions. Bring your ideas to our suggestions box and the most popular ones will come to being in the next few weeks."
