The first half of the week, Alex contemplated giving her assignment to Lucian compleatly. She had recently accepted his aid in surveing suspicious video footage of the house. Apparently, it was normal for Finn to get up in the middle of the night to get take out.

Alex was tired of the passive aggressive drama that came with the teenage girl world she'd sign up for. It was the most annoying thing ever. She would have much rather face an Alpha's personal guard than stand one more lunch time in the same room as Mercy. She was an entitled bitch.

It started that Monday, when Alex had given Declan a ride to and from school. It had spread like wildfire that Declan had already spoken to Alex's parents, and had given her a promise ring. When in reality, Declan's mom had passed in the morning with some gift certificates from one of her hotels, and a formal invitation to the pack meeting, and her car wouldn't start, so Declan had come over, given her his car, and he hitched a ride with Alex. They were both late, but were promptly excused, which to everyone, was a sign that the patriarch of the pack had given them his blessing.

Declan somewhat understood that Alex saw him as a friend, but that did not discourage him from trying to squeeze his way into something more. He had declined an invitation to dinner at the Andersons, to welcome Jesse Anderson from guardian training at the council, to go to Alex's and study for the calculus exam that was coming up.

It was rumored that Mercy had left red faced with fury, and that her wrath was soon to be unleashed upon those she considered peasants, which was basically everyone.

Instead, the next day, Mercy barely paid attention to Alex, no comments were made on her apperance, or lack of accessorizing with purses from last season. No dirty glares, or bearing of teeth and carefully manicured nails. Mercy even apologized for bumping into her at the lunch line.

Everyone knew something was up, Mercy was brewing a plan that would come to be after that weeks pack meeting.

Finn was just a hint smitten with his new pupil. In most packs, if both parties were of consenting age, and consented to a relationship, age did not matter, unequal matches were made everyday. Alex's mother had been a little older than her father, and although she did not look her age, at all, thanks to her mutating werewolf gene, Mrs. Emerson was significantly older than her husband, rest in peace. Werewolves thought a warrior was a warrior regardless of age, and in a pack, everyone was a warrior.

Werewolves aged very well, and very long. It was expected that Finn would be Alpha for a very long time, and while he did not have that much of a hurry to procreate, Carly Williams did.

She was his booty call from college, ex from High School, and she never got along with Lucian when he became friends with Finnick.

She did not love Finn, per say, but she did love the title that came with him.

She also liked to entertain herself with Finn's friends when he did not pay attention to her and decided to give some piano lessons to a certain blonde, foreign student that he liked so much.

Techically speaking, she knew that Finick wouldn't pursue a relationship with this girl, because she was his pupil--while age did not matter, he couldn't do anything with a girl he had been instructed to teach by her parents. He couldn't take advantage of blind trust to enamour someone. After she graduated, it was almost fair game.

Carly met Alex at the pack meeting. Her human family had been invited to it, and it meant that Finn's family, his mother in particular, was fanning all over them.

John Summers was discussing medicine with a small group of wolves, while Daniel was holding Alex close by, talking food and cooking with some ladies who fell in love with the dish he'd brought.
