When Alex got back home, Daniel had a bath ready for her. "Jonh, tell your husband he spoils me rotten!"

"Well, better you than me, Missy. A little more pampering, and I  shall perpetually smell of bubble bath and scented candles." He was smoking a pipe, and drinking whiskey, reading Plato.

"Well, the neighbors showed up with presents, so I don't wanna feel bad for not using it...and you kinda need a bath, or two..." He said trying not to grimace at all the dirt she tracked into his impeccable house.

"How about we go shopping tomorrow? I have a feeling I'm going to need a couple of skirts for semi-formal wear. Plus, if I don't get all this teen stuff off me, I don't know what might happen." She said as she made her way up to her bathroom.

"Are we having a father-daughter date?" He said hopeful. His eyes growing in size.

"Yes. Yes we are."

"Hey, what are you doing today?" Lisa called her a little too early for her liking.

She was barely getting up, and her counterpart was already chirpy.

"Well, Daniel and I are having a father-daughter day, filled with shopping, eating, and movie watching. Did you wanna do something?"

"Well now I don't. I heard that the performing arts trip to Broadway was under way, I wanted to start getting chic, New York outfits for that. I don't know if you heard it, but we stay at this super nice hotel, and go to like three shows over a weekend, and afterwards we can have dinner anywhere we want, and basically do whatever we want, so long as we appear for the museum activities during the day. It's like so awesome." She explained excitedly.

Alex was actually having fun shopping. She liked clothes, she loved heels, but never experienced shopping for clothes with a friend. It was the first time Daniel had seen her smile and laugh with someone other than him and his husband.

"You have such a classy, grown up, taste for heels." Lisa commented while they were looking for the perfect pair of stylish, yet, comfortable pumps.

"My mother left me with a lot of her old stuff, so when it was time to learn how to dress girly and womanly, I just had a bunch of pictures and vintage things to draw inspiration from." She half - made up really fast.

"Aw, I'm sorry..." She said apologetically.

"It's fine, it she passed a long time ago. Clothes and shoes are the only real connection I have with her." That was true,  aside from pictures.

Daniel and Lisa had wandered off trying to find the perfect accessories for a blue outfit they'd just picked up.

Alex decided to go and try to find a new perfume that didn't make her smell like a baked good, a cooking spice, or a daffodil,  but a woman.

Her phone rang while she was browsing, it was a French area code. She answered in french. "Hello?" Very innocently.

"With Alex Parker please." The woman said in French also. Alex noticed that her accent was so good, she could only be native.

"Speaking. " She said formaly.

"I have a small job for you. Mr. F. recommended you were the best. I only hire the best. You will be paid handsomely for a small service."

The name the lady dropped stopped her from hanging up imideately. But, she had to make sure it really was Mr. F.

"If you know Mr. F., and he reccomended me, you don't mind me asking you what kind of tea he likes." She asked casually while picking up a bottle that looked promising. She squinted her nose when the smell of shampoo hit her too hard.
