Lucian remembered how shocked he was when Madam Hobbs and Alex emerged after an hour of talking too quietly for any of them hear through the door. He had caught the word 'rebel' once or twice, and 'sorry' a few times.

They had come out embracing each other and Alex didn't look like she was about to break anymore if the breeze hit her the wrong way.

He knew that she had kissed him and let him do a few other things to her body because she had been in shock.

Hell, he had almost given up trying to act normal and curl up in a ball in the shower. His mortality had never been more evident than a few hours ago. If Alex and him hadn't been on the same page about how to proceed once they realized that the Black Russian was most likely going to rampage through them...

He didn't want to think about it. It had been stupid not to thoroughly vet him before they let regular guards...guard him. There had been too much testosterone flying about then, and there was too much when the doors opened.

Finn had been ready to offer full membership for Alex. He had made the same sentiment be known to Lucian, that he could extend his temporary one for a permanent one. "Alex would be happy to have a familiar face with the transition from teen to adulthood. You can teach math and she can train the girls and boys if they wish. I don't think they'd pay attention to much with her at the helm but it couldn't hurt..eh." He was making plans with out her input again and Lucian couldn't help but roll his eyes.

If they really required all wolves belong somewhere...he'd rather have Finn over his dad anytime, even if Finn was starting to get on his nerves about his, in Lucian's opinion, unrequited feelings for Alex.

He hoped she'd choose him over his friend, if she felt like making a choice. Truth was, he knew wherever she went she'd always have choices. The thought made his stomach feel like bile rising to his throat.

Now the part about the embrace had him more than confused.

Jillian Hobbs was smiling and had directed a delighted look his way, with a small but definitive knowing smirk.

She, however, directed a cold and strong tone towards the first guard who dared catch her gaze. "Add another ticket to our flight to London, my granddaughter will be joining us. And book two passages for two weeks from today for the Summers. Everyone else lets pack up. I want the reports on my email by the time we touch British soil."

"Do I have time say goodbye to my friends Gram?" She asked stopping and looking at her hopefully, as a kid ask a mother for permission to play outside with their friends.

Jillian beamed at her, no one on her security detail had ever seen her do anything remotely like that. "Of course. I will meet you at the airport. You don't have to bring all of your things, I will have a team come and help the rest of the family pack up. Charles, you go with her, take one of Mr. Finn's cars. I am sure he wont mind." She said like it was the most natural thing in the world, like Charles was used to minding her granddaughter.

Finn snapped out of it faster than Lucian. "It will be my pleasure to accompany Miss Parker and...Charles."

"Perfectly brilliant, of course." Jillian Hobbs smiled.

Lucian was still reeling from the fact that Madam-no-one-fucks-with-me-Jillian Hobbs had smiled and beamed at anyone, and that Alexandra Sophia-I-will-choke-you-to-death-with-a-pencil Parker had called the lady 'Gram'.

His mouth was only slightly parted in awe and confusion. "We will be in touch Mr. Knightly."

Once he could move his legs in the direction Alex had gone, she wasn't on the property anymore. Although 'Gram' had said there was enough time for her granddaughter to say goodbye to her 'friends', Jillian Hobbs was an incredibly busy woman in times of turmoil and had basically whisked everything and everyone off the main house in a matter of minutes.
