Julia sat there speechless staring at Dan.

"Me and Dan are friends Jul." I finally broke the silence.

"What? Since when?" Julia asked.

"We met again after the concert at a coffee shop and bonded over a similar problem." I smiled and stood up to grab some painkillers for Dan. Dan offered Julia his hand creating even more awkwardness.

"I'm Dan."

"Dan I know who you are you don't need to introduce yourself to me." She laughed "I'm Julia."

"I just prefer formal introductions" he scratched his head. I tossed the painkillers to Dan and joined them at the kitchen table.

"So what were you guys doing last night anyway?"

"We just went out for some drinks isn't that right Dan?" I quickly answered.

"Yep that's right. Just drinks." He smirked to himself.

"So Dan I know you ran off the last time I asked but..." Julia looked at Dan's exposed wrist. He understood what she was about to ask him so he took of his watch from his other arm and slid it onto his left wrist covering the black zeros.

"There now you can't see them. So no more questions please." He sighed.
Suddenly his phone rang.
"Sorry girls I have to take this."

He stood up and went over to the kitchen sink not bothering to leave the room for the phone call.

"Hey, yeah I'm at a friends house. I could be there in a few hours." He leaned onto the counter crossing his legs as he talked on the phone. I couldn't stop staring. He was way too beautiful.

"Fuck Sarah he's so hot." Julia blurted out.

"Julia stop! You have a soulmate you know." I hissed at her.

"Yes, but let me enjoy this. How would you feel if the member of your favourite band was in your best friends kitchen?"

So we both just sat there and stared at him as he talked over the phone. He noticed that and smiled blushing a little. He hung up the phone and returned to the table.

"My manager wants me to come in today to discuss our second album." He said.

"You're making a second album?!" Julia asked with excitement.

"Yeah... But don't say a word."

We sat and talked a little more until Julia said she needed to go to help her mom out around the house.

"Call me when you wake up tomorrow so we can grab coffee." Julia said as he was leaving.

"For sure!" I waved her a goodbye as she left.

"Bye Julia!" Dan shouted from behind me. She laughed and waved back. As soon as I locked the door I was spun around and my lips collided with his. He passionately kissed me as he pressed me against the door.

"You don't understand how much I wanted to do this." He said proceeding to kiss my neck.

"Dan." I whispered.

His hands slides underneath my shirt.

"Dan!"

I slightly pushed him away.

"I'm sorry but we're moving too fast with this." I told him. He ran his hands through his hair and then started pacing.

"I'm sorry this was so stupid. I fucked up. Please don't hate me Sarah. I think I have to go. I-I have work at the studio. I-"

"Dan please shut up. I really like you."

"Really?" His eyes lit up with hope.

"Yeah..."

"Me too."

"Please stay a little longer. I want you close." I told him.

"I always want you close. I want you to be my soulmate so fucking bad Sarah." He was starting to get upset.

"We can still like each other without being soulmates..."

"Yea but it might not work out. We're not soulmates for a reason..."

"Dan. Soulmate or not you're the most amazing person I've ever met."

He sighed. "Trust me. I'm not."

"Dan shut up and let's go finish our tea." I tried to lighten up the conversation.

We sat back down in the kitchen and sipped our tea.
"Have you wrote anything new recently? Remember you promised I could read it?" I asked.

"Yeah... I started writing this song this morning... It's not that great but I'm trying."

"What is it called?"

"The Anchor."

"Intriguing. Can't wait until you finish it!"
He smiled. After we finished drinking he offered to wash the cups. He took the cups to the sink and I decided to kill some time on my phone.
As he washed the dishes I picked up my phone resting my elbows on the kitchen table. The fabric of my jacket slid down revealing the dark black zeros that plagued my wrist. I tried not to focus on them and opened up Twitter. I scrolled through my feed giving Dan a quick follow.

"Hey Sar, is it okay if I take a shower? Don't want to be all gross when I go back to the studio."

"Yeah, no worries. The towels are underneath the sink" I shouted back not looking up from my phone. I stumbled upon a picture of the two of us walking to the movie theatre hand in hand taken by one of the fans captioned "who's the girl?". I smiled and kept scrolling. Dan approached me from the back hugging me and kissing the top of my head.

"I'll be back soon, love you."

He retreated into the bathroom. My eyes went wide. I was not only surprised that he said he loves me, but I was also shocked at the fact that the numbers on my wrist glowed green.
