nine;

Hanna woke up to the vibration of her phone. She looked at the caller ID then at the time. It read, 6:56 PM. "Crap," she cursed, getting up from the floor and opening the door of the rooftop. She ran down the stairs from storey to storey, not caring about her bag she left in the classroom. The school closes at 8, and she had a lot of time to leave the school. But, she still ran.

Saying goodbye to the security guard, she brisk-walked out of the place. Passing by the gate of the school, she noticed a tall figure waiting out there. As she looked closer, she realized it was Changkyun, carrying his own bag while holding her bag in one hand. His other hand held onto his phone, trying to reach someone's phone. Her phone rang. That's when she remembered he was the one who called her when she woke up.

She walked up to him without him noticing her. "Hey," she greeted softly. Changkyun looked behind him to see her. His hand dropped from his ear when he was trying to call her. "Where were you?" he asked her frantically. She just stared at him, as if she saw a ghost.

"I've been waiting here since 4! I thought you left but then I didn't see you leave until now. Plus, your bag was left in the classroom, so I thought I could take it and give it to you since we're having tutor session today." The boy informed the girl, holding onto her arms. "Are you okay? Did you receive my text?"

Taking Changkyun's hands off her, she replied, "yeah, I'm sorry. It's my fault. Do you still want to do this thing? I mean, it's late. We can do it on another day. You're probably tired of waiting."

"I'm not tired of waiting," Changkyun answered, giving Hanna her bag as they started walking, "but you do. I mean, you look tired. I'll just send you home."

She shook her head, "no, it's fine. We can just go home, don't bother sending me home. And, uh, sorry again."

"Stop apologizing! It's fine. Where were you, really?" he asked again, still eager to know.

"Rooftop, sleeping." she replied nonchalantly. He nodded his head, looking at her. "Are you okay?"

She snorted, "is there any meaning to that question?"

She looked back at Changkyun who seemed to have a question mark on his forehead. She looked in front again, "nevermind. I guess I'm fine."

Changkyun caught up to Hanna, "right, you guess. So, it's not certain. The answer's obvious enough."

He stopped her in the middle of walking. "I'm not gonna force you to say anything, but if you need me, I'm here, okay?"

Changing the topic, she asked, "is my teacher free for tutoring on Monday?"

He answered, although he was curious why she asked. "Nope, practice on Monday." She only nodded.

Day 21,

The members of Monsta X were in the dance studio, practising for their performance. Hyunwoo suggested they'd continue since there were some of them who couldn't keep up with the dance.

Three of the members were called out by Hyunwoo for extra practice during their break time. Thankfully, Changkyun wasn't one of them so he hurriedly went to take his water bottle to drink up. He also took his phone, seeing if he had any new messages. Just as he unlocked his phone, a new message popped up.

'Still in the studio?' Hanna asked. Changkyun replied as soon as he read the message. 'Yep, might go over the ending time.'

He waited for three minutes for a text back but he gave up, realizing Hanna probably won't reply. Minhyuk called the other members in for another set of practice when the door of the practice room opened. "Hello," Hanna showed up, bowing to the members.

Everyone bowed back, exchanging greetings. "Why did you come?" Changkyun asked, getting up from his seat to Hanna.

"I bought dinner since I heard you guys might have extra practice," Hanna explained to the other members. The other six members went up to her, looking inside the plastic bag she brought. "Isn't it too early for dinner?"

"Nothing's too early if it's food," Hoseok chuckled. The eight of them sat down on the floor, taking out the food from the plastic bag. Kihyun went out to take some plates and utensils for them. Even Hyunwoo sat down, not resisting the food.

They quietly ate, munching down on the food. No one spoke but Hanna could tell that they were starving. Their actions spoke for them. They were chewing non-stop, as if it was their last day eating on Earth. Hanna silently chuckled to herself.

"How's the tutor going, by the way?" Jooheon asked after biting into the chicken leg. Hanna nodded, "it's fine. I'm doing well, I guess."

Changkyun snorted, "you guess. You need more practice in Math, more understanding in Chemistry and Physics, and memorizing English vocabulary words."

Hanna glared at Changkyun beside her. She used her palm and smeared it on his face. Changkyun squirmed. The members laughed, including Hanna.

"Thank you for today's dinner, Hanna," the members thanked the girl before leaving the studio. All that was left was of course, the two youngest, Hanna and Changkyun.

Hanna stayed and watched their practice until the end. Her reason? She said she had nothing to do at home. Everyone believed her, anyway. "It's late. Why haven't you gone home?" Changkyun questioned the young lady in front of him. He was the last person to change his clothes in the bathroom so he expected everyone to have gone home. He was always the one to lock the studio, anyway. So, he was used to it.

Hanna shrugged. "It's only nine. Let's have a tutor session!"

"What do you mean nine? You should be going home!" Changkyun refused. "Aren't your parents worried?"

Hanna nodded apathetically. "They called a few times. But, I can just say I'm studying."

Changkyun sighed, sitting on the floor at the side of the room. "Alright, what do you want to study today?"

The young lady smiled, coming up to Changkyun and sitting beside him. She took out papers from her bag and scattered them all over the floor. "It's been a week since we last had our session, isn't it?"

"Why does it matter?" Changkyun looked up from the papers on the floor. Hanna kept quiet, "nothing."

"Okay, so, here," Hanna started, giving Changkyun a piece of paper from the pile.
