seventeen;

Ever understood the feeling of someone's departure even if the relationship turned the way it shouldn't have? Hanna was in a dilemma. It was given that she would feel downcast after all the memories they had. A part of her wanted to believe it was her fault but another was trying to convince her it's not all about her. Thus, she was unsure whether to feel upset or guilty. Either way, it was neither happiness nor glee she was feeling when Junhong broke it out to her that he was leaving despite the awkwardness around then after the event night.

"Hanna, I'm serious. This isn't about you. The last thing I want you to feel is to feel bad for me," he convinced. Hanna once again sighed. No matter how many times he tried to talk her out of feeling guilty, she couldn't help feel that way, still.

The silence around them wasn't awkward but filled with regret and distress. Hanna gave that one look once again and Junhong had to repeat himself. "I told you, I don't need you feeling sympathetic towards you and this is not about you."

Hanna shrugged, belief unchanging. "Yeah, but you never told me why you were leaving in the first place."

He sighed. "That, I'd like to keep. I'm sorry, it's a bit personal. But, if it makes you feel better, it's mainly because my family isn't perfect." He smiled, though Hanna could see the pain in those wonderful, clear and unique eyes.

The younger stood up from the bench she was sitting on with Junhong. He looked up at her, confused. "What?"

"What, what?"

"What, what what?"

"Don't be lame, dummy. Let's leave!"

"Leave what? Go where?" With ultimate confusion, he was dragged out of the library.

They've been studying for their final paper next week before Junhong dropped the bomb and the atmosphere turned gloomy. Upon hearing the hint for the reason why he was leaving, Hanna thought of an idea to at least make him feel better before leaving. Little did she know that it'll hurt him more. Because giving up on and leaving the girl he adores adamantly to another guy she chose over him caused more pain than leaving. Because leaving meant he wouldn't be able to see her again.

So when she invited him to hang out with her right before he left, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed over the fact that she was so beautiful and what's contradictory and relevant about this is because he's leaving.

Taking their bags and leaving the tranquil place, both dashed towards the familiar convenience store. Frankly, Hanna thought of Changkyun as she ran towards the store but that's for another time.

As Junhong sat on one of all the empty seats outside the store, Hanna hurriedly went in to buy her usual purchases. Samgak kimbap and canned coffee. On top of that, she bought cup noodles.

Once she was back out, kimbap and chilled coffee in a plastic bag on one arm while both hands were busy with holding the hot bowl of noodles. After placing them down, she immediately sat down as well, almost as if she was magnetized to the chair, obviously eager to devour the flavor of the food she bought.

The boy faced her as she took her time to smell the noodles as it was too hot for her to eat. He couldn't help but laugh at how dorky she was. "Ah, by the way," he took out some money out of his back pocket before presenting it to her, "paying for this."

Dramatically swatting it away, she replied as she placed her right hand on her chest like a spoiled princess. "I'm offended!"

Both of them laughed before she clarified herself, "no, it's fine! This is the least I could do before you leave."
