seven;

"Good night, Hanna," Changkyun muttered over the phone.

After washing up and getting ready for bed, Changkyun questioned himself for picking up his phone to call his student instead of sleeping. He was delighted to hear her voice once she has picked up the call. However, instead of a simple hello, she answered with a what do you want?

The boy didn't expect their call to last for half an hour, though. He realized how long they've been talking so he ordered her to sleep.

"It's too early," Hanna answered with insouciance.

"It's almost midnight and it's a school night," Changkyun closed his eyes, eager to sleep, "aren't you worried you're not getting your 'beauty sleep'?"

"Are you?" Hanna smirked.

"Nah, but I'm hanging up. Good night," Changkyun smiled even though he knew she couldn't see it.

"Wait, Changkyun!" he heard her call out on the phone before he clicked the red button. He put the phone on his ear again. "What?"

"Are we not having a study session tomorrow?" Hanna asked slowly and carefully.

The older chuckled, "it's not a study session, but a tutor session. Anyway, no we're not. What's up? I thought I said it before we went home earlier."

"Ah, I thought you were kidding," there was silence for a few seconds before Hanna tittered, "maybe you'll miss me while we're not having our study sessions."

Changkyun forcibly laughed, rolling his eyes. "You wish. And, it's tutor session! Stop calling it study session."

"Okay, whatever you say, Mr. Im," Hanna smiled, "good night, teacher."

Hanna had hung up even before Changkyun said anything else.

Day 10,

"Morning Dad, Mom," Hanna greeted her parents who were eating breakfast in the dining room. Her parents looked at each other, worried for their daughter.

The young lady sat down on her usual seat to eat her breakfast. "Are you hurt anywhere?" Hanna's step-mom asked.

Hanna laughed, too loudly, at that, "no, why would you think that?"

"You don't usually acknowledge her as your mother and you're too cheerful this morning," her father answered on behalf of her mother, while reading the newspaper.

Hanna shrugged, still smiling. Jeong Joon closed his newspaper. "Oh, right. How's the tutor session going?"

"It's good."

"Is it helping you?" Jinmi asked. Normally, Hanna would roll her eyes at whatever Jinmi asks but this time she answered blissfully.

"Yeah, it's great," Hanna turned from her food to her father, "I passed my recent test."

-

"Good morning, Changkyun," Hanna greeted her tutor as she walked past his table.

As usual, the young man was reading a different book from what he was reading the other day. He only nodded when Hanna greeted him. A few moments later, someone snatched the book from him. He was about to get up and beat the shit out of the person who took his book away when he realized the shoe that the person was wearing.

It was a girl's shoe. He immediately looked up, only to see Hanna staring at him, his book on her right hand. "I said good morning and you ignore me?"

"I nodded my head!" Changkyun argued.

"Say 'good morning' back!"

Changkyun sighed about Hanna being petty but greeted her anyway. Hanna smiled in return, holding the book with her two hands. "What book is this? Is this a new one?"

Changkyun snatched the book away, wanting to continue his reading silently. Hanna scoffed, rolling her eyes. She stood in front of the boy's table. "Excuse me, we agreed not to have tutor sessions but we didn't agree on ignoring each other."

Hanna waited for Changkyun's reply as he looked up from his book. He opened his mouth to say something but was stopped by their teacher coming on. Hanna groaned, stomping back to her seat.

-

"Im Changkyun!" Hanna called out from outside the class. Their classes had ended and Hanna was the first student to dash out of the room. She waited for everyone to leave the room so that she could talk to Changkyun.

"Why do you look like you're avoiding me?"

"You're funny," Changkyun snickered, "are you so attached to me that if I don't talk to you for a day, you'll think I'm avoiding you?"

"You're funnier. We talked on the phone last night and this morning you're not even greeting me. Doesn't that make you feel as if you're being avoided?"

"Maybe I'm just busy," Changkyun started to walk away. "I have practice today."

"Busy, my foot," Hanna jokingly kicked Changkyun on his ass to which he dodged.

He slowly ran from the girl who was ready to beat his ass. "I'm going! Make sure you finish your homework and if you don't get anything, call me, alright?"

Hanna nodded her head, waving her hand. "See you tomorrow!"
