fifteen;

"If you found out that someone likes you, what would you do?" He asked as the two were on their way to the library. The girl shrugged, replying, "I'm not sure. Avoid? Accept? Act like nothing happened? It depends, I guess."

He stopped in his tracks. "If I told you I liked you, what would you do?" The other stopped as well. Turning back to face him, she scratched her head. "Do you?"

The tips of his lips curved up as he caught up with her. Once he faced her, he questioned once more, "why do you think I want you to help me in my studies instead of other students?"

"Oh, um..." She stuttered. She looked around, avoiding his eyes. Holding her hand, he ran towards the library to avoid the awkwardness. "Let's get to the library!"

With a blank face, she was dragged.

She asked the boy sitting across her. "Is there a particular subject you're having troubles with?"

He hummed, then responded, "yes. Math."

"Which topic?"

"Hold on, let me get my paper."

Shuffling through his bag, he found his paper and showed it to her right in front of her face.

"D?" her eyes widened.

He chuckled, ashamed of his score. He was ashamed for his score was revealed in front of the person he liked. What would she think of him now?

"I need to get at least a B for the final examination, do you think you can help me?"

She huffed, "the helping is not a problem, but I'm not sure if I can send your grades up to a B."

"Passing would be enough for me."

"Are you free tonight?"

Stunned by the sudden question, he replied. "What for?"

"I have this event I need to attend tonight, and I kinda need an escort. I have no one to go with, so if you're free, I was wondering if you could help me out."

He smiled. "Sure, why not?"

The hall was crowded with people of different colored dresses and usually dark colored suits. It was no doubt that the place, the event and the people were elegant. The beige walls represent the event's gracefulness. The event's theme was supposed to be youthful, like in a prom, and although it most likely met the criteria, there was just a hint of maturity that laid beneath the facade of the people due to its theme.

The company's 20th anniversary. Special.

As soon as the Jeong family stepped foot in the grand hall, it was as if the party stopped and stared at the perfect family. Whispers could be heard, and it turned out into a soft talking among one another. The president of the company reached out to Jeong Jinmi, his employee.

Introducing himself to the family, he shook his hands with them and continued to communicate with the adults. Hanna felt lonely. She excused herself to visit the restroom. There, she fished her phone out of her pouch she held all the way from home. Burdensome, she must add.

Thankfully, Junhong was updating her on his whereabouts to the place. Earlier on, he agreed to accompany Hanna to the event she was dying to leave the moment she came in. Relief rushed through her system when he granted her her request. At least she wouldn't be bored half-way through the event.
