I know it's strange , I don't know what i'm thinking
tris: the party's tomorrow
luke: i know
tris: ashton will be there
luke: i know
tris: are you ready?
luke: nope
luke: i'm scared that lauren will find out
luke: or that she'll get mad at me for keeping it from her
luke: or that she'll get mad that i like / am dating her brother
luke: she's been trying to keep me from him since we started high school and i don't know why
tris: i can always ask brad to find out what he knows
luke: i know
tris: he's best friends with ashton
luke: i know
luke: it just feels so wrong all of the sudden
tris: i'm texting brad now
I sigh, dropping my phone on my bed beside me and laying down with my head handing down the bed.
It isn't fair, Tristan and Brad's relationship has gone so easily while I'm in this huge predicament.
Best friend, or best friend's brother?
"Luke! Someone's here for you!" Mum calls from downstairs.
I sit upright on my bed, a confused expression making it's way to my face.
I wasn't expecting anyone?
I stuff my phone in my pocket, placing a hat on my head because my hair's all messy, and I slowly make my way down the stairs.
"I'll leave you two alone." Mum says, patting my arm then walking up the stairs.
"Ashton?" I let out, seeing him standing in the doorway.
"Yup." He grins, causing his dimples to pop.
Damnit.
"Why did you come here?" I ask curiously, trying not to be rude.
"I wanted to offer you a ride to Brad's party tomorrow." He says, effortlessly running a hand through his hair.
"Y-yeah, sure." I stammer.
"You're cute, you know that, right Luke?" Ashton smiles.
"I-I guess, thanks." My smile grows wider.
"I gotta go, here's my number. I'll talk to you later, and remember, Lauren can't know about this. Okay Luke? Bye." Ashton winks, before turning and leaving.
I stand in shock, looking down at my hand that is now clutching a tiny piece of paper.
Ashton honks his horn twice, waving, then drives away.
Wow.
