Dear Diary,
Something happened today. Something that will be a major change to Kole's life. I found her on my doorstep, and she looked horrendous. Both of her eyes were black and blue, her face was covered in blood, and her body was riddled with bruises. She couldn't even walk. I had to carry her into my house. She wouldn't tell me what happened, but I'm betting her father had something to do with it.
I carried her to the couch, and she just started crying. I didn't know what to do, so I wrapped my arms around her and let her head lay on my body. She is so much more broken than I am. I need to help her. I told her she was staying at my place, and I didn't give her the chance to argue. I will never let Kole go back to her father. I will never let anyone hurt her.
I will give you shelter when you are in need. I will protect you when you are in trouble. If you need a shoulder to cry on I will give you mine.
