Dear Diary,
What a way to start the new year. Kole has barely said a word since I found her yesterday. All I do is just sit there trying to comfort while trying not to let anyone know something is wrong. I have to carry on making videos, even though all I want to do is spend all day with Kole. I can't erase the things that her father did, I hope I can help get her through it. I worry about her. I can't help it.
When I'm with Kole, my heart doesn't have to fight as hard to beat. She makes me feel things I haven't felt in a while. When she lays her head on me, my heart skips a beat. All I want to do is comfort her. I want to help her be herself. I want Kole to look into my eyes and show me what her real smile looks like.
Stop lingering on the past. No matter how much you think about it, it won't change. Don't give yourself nightmares about the future. I know you will have a bright one. Focus on the present, because it is the only thing you can actually change.
