Sighing happily, the centaur sits down under neath the large oak tree that seemed to reach the stars, it's branches trying to catch the night air. The large green leaves covered much of the sunset painted sky.
The clouds stretched out across the sky, the colors of the sunset cast a light glow across the forest. Smiling, Felix sighed happily, listening to the bubbling of the creek. Watching the ripples, he was reminded of the siren that lived in the pond a short walk away.
Making up his mind, the centaur decided to try to befriend the siren, after all it got lonely, all alone in his forest. Grabbing his bag and stuffing some fruit into them, Felix started trotting towards pond. Maybe the siren will enjoy them.

Kicking rocks up with his hooves, Felix cantered along the creek bank. Stepping closer to the siren's pond, the centaur heard a familiar soft hissing. "Hello..." Felix mumbled as he stared down at the rippling water. "Hey I have something for you."
The hissing stopped and turned into irritated clicking as shiny fins rose above the surface of the water, "what do you want...?" The siren chirped, fins standing on end threateningly. "Hey man... I've got some fruit for you " Felix said, taking a peach out of his bag. The siren's fins fell along with its face as he frowned at the centaur. "I don't even eat fruit I'm a siren." The siren chirped. "Well now that I have you talking... what's your name?" Felix asked. "Jack." He chirped as he dove under the water, splashing the centaur as he swam away. Huffing angrily the centaur sat against a tree and bit into his fruit.

The centaur rippled the water In the siren's pond with a stick "Hey.." he huffed as he threw a rock into the pond. The water rippled as the siren surfaced "what do you want!" The siren trilled. The centaur shrugged as he stood up from the grass. The siren flipped his tail in the water angrily as he stared up at the centaur. "No don't leave, talk to me" the centaur huffed.
"Alright...." the siren was cut off by the sound of footsteps. The centaur looked up in confusion as the siren locked eyes with Felix as he hissed and dove under the water. "Weird..." the centaur thought to himself as he looked around him. A handful of figures were walking towards them, they were wearing all black and had human machineries hanging from their belts.
Time seemed to slow down as one of them looked Felix in the eyes as they rose one of the machines to the air, the world seemed to shatter when the air itself seemed to crack in half, his ears burned and his chest hurts as he felt a scaled hand grab his foot, pulling him under the water.
Felix's eyes burned, struggling to see through the milky water, the bright colors of Jack's fins the only thing visible through the murky water. He held his breath till his lungs burned, his chest constrained by the water. Trying to stop himself from fainting, the centaur concentrated on the blues and greens that covered his friends fins, as they waved silently in the water.
Lungs burning, the centaur felt as if he was drowning, darkness threatening to engulf his vision, as he the siren pushed him ruffly towards the surface, the bright light and coolness of the air shocking the centaur fully awake. Gasping for breath, the centaur scrambled out of the water.
"What was that!?" The centaur gasped, still coughing up water.
"Poachers.." The siren growled, fins standing on end.
