I went school shopping with Draco and Lucius, dad sent all the coins I'd need with me as he had to stay home and prepare for the upcoming school year.
"We need to make a stop before we go into Diagon Alley," Lucius said as the three of us walked down Knockturn Alley and into Borgin and Burkes.
Draco instantly walked in and reached for a weird statue that was by the door.
"Don't touch anything, Draco," Lucius said as he swatted Draco's hand away from it with his snake-headed walking stick.
"Yes, Father," Draco said looking up at his father.
"Uh, Mr. Malfoy, what a pleasure to see you again. And young Master Malfoy and young Miss Snape, too. Delighted. I must show you, just in today and very reasonably..." Mr. Borgin started.
"I'm not buying today, Borgin. I'm selling." Lucius said.
Draco had wandered away to look at other stuff and I stayed near Lucius as the shop gave me the creeps.
"Oh, a selling?" Mr. Borgin questioned.
Lucius rolled his eyes.
"Draco," Lucius called.
Draco walked back over and placed the box he was carrying on the counter before wandering away again to look at a mummy-looking cabinet.
"You are aware no doubt that the Ministry of Magic is conducting more raids on private houses. There's even rumors of a new Muggle Protection Act." Lucius said as Mr. Borgin began looking at the items in the box.
"Pure wizard blood is counting for less everywhere, I'm afraid." Mr. Borgin said.
I looked down at my shoes feeling slightly out of place, I knew they were talking mostly about muggle-borns rather than half-bloods but it still didn't make me feel any better.
"Not with me. Anyway, I brought a few items from home that might prove, uh... embarrassing if the Ministry were to call. Just poisons and the like." Lucius said looking around the shop anxiously.
"Look at that!" Mr. Borgin said holding something up.
I looked over at Draco who was back looking at the mummy-looking cabinet again.
"That particular item is not for sale," Lucius said grabbing it back from Mr. Borgin.
"I don't understand. It has unique qualities. One wouldn't want to see it falling in the wrong hands." Mr. Borgin said as Draco walked over and grabbed my hand and dragged me over to look at the cabinet.
"Draco, I don't care for the items in this shop they creep me out," I said.
"Just look at this, isn't it neat?" Draco asked as he reached out to touch it.
"fascinating," I said slowly.
"You can keep the box" I heard Lucius say just before Lucius walking stick hit the cabinet between mine and Draco's head.
"What did I say?" Lucius asked.
"Touch nothing," Draco said as we turned around and faced Lucius.
