"So could you explain to us where you were last night?" my mother looked up from her bowl of soup and starred at me. She obviously wasn't pleased; I avoided her stare and I focused my entire being on the bowl of soup.
"I was in the ballroom. Then all of a sudden I got escorted out of the pa-" my mother placed her spoon down firmly on the table.
"No. Why did you change dresses!" she moved her head around quickly she was lost of words for a minute. "Your intention was to leave the palace! Marie you never think! There are consequences for your actions!" she got up from her seat and I got up as well I pushed in my chair.
"Excuse me." I turned and walked out of the hall. I continued to walk alone. I went into the courtyard where my sister had been buried. I always went there whenever I had a concern with anything. If I didn't feel good I came to visit Annabelle.

Side Note: Annabelle's perspective
I would always sit in the courtyard and look out the large window at the end and see William teasing me. He was always asking me to come down but I couldn't. I couldn’t just walk down the hall and go out the palace's front door. William would spend hours talking to me from the bottom of the wall.
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair." he began to laugh right after he called out to me. I quickly pretended to through my braided bun out the window. We both laughed uncontrollably; the good thing about this courtyard was that it was completely isolated from everything and everyone. No one came over except for my sister but anyone's footsteps would be heard before the even came near me.
I needed to find a way down to the town because if I didn't I would be forced to see William like this every day. Not being able to feel his warmth radiate onto my body. I needed to find a way down. I waved goodbye to William and I asked him to wait at the bottom I was convinced of finding a way out. I walked around the corridor and I saw a small crack in the wall. I looked down through it and saw a few stone steps; I'm not sure what made me what to do this but I opened the next door. To my surprise there was a flight of stairs, I followed the stairs all the way to the bottom; at the bottom of the stairs it was pitch black and gloomy I couldn't see but as I walked forward a light began to shine through the walls. I walked closer towards the bright wall and I saw that it was a wooden door. It was bolted down, there was no way out. I began to push and pull at the old door to my surprise it opened rather quickly I smiled and then I stepped outside, I slowly closed the door. I saw that the stairs had led me all the way to the back of the palace which was where all of the maids and butlers stayed. I looked around and saw the woods and then closer to my right I saw the town. I smiled uncontrollably and I looked around the green field. I heard William's breathing and I quickly turned around I laughed and I hugged him. This was the first time in forever that I had gotten to see William up close. I had met him at my sister's birthday ball. It had been 8 months since that now. The ground felt warm and so did he.
"Long time no see Mr. Newman." I smiled and then he lifted my hand and kissed it.

Side Note: Back to Marie's point of view.
She had found a way to get to town and I need to find that way into town. If my sister could do it so should I. "Anna would you please tell me how to get out of here? Please I need to give Phillip his coat back. I guess he must be cold with the snow and all." I smiled down at her grave. Anna had never told me about why she would always disappear but I knew that she had a way to get out of the castle. I had seen her once, she was running through the field, she was laughing and having fun. She was free; I wanted to be free. I looked up from her grave and I saw a small light flicker around it led itself towards the window. I smiled and I looked at the grave. "Thank you." I quickly got up and I followed it.
