I don't bother answering my parents' calls of my name as I storm up the stairs. I hear the front door open and slam shut again. My parents acknowledge him and he does the same before I hear him follow me up the stairs. I try and slam my door in his face before he can make it in my room but his large, strong hand stops the wood before it connects with the threshold. "Don't think I'm done with this." He bellows.

"New flash; I am! Get out my house, you weren't invited in."

"Yes I was, not two minutes ago."

I roll my eyes at my previous invitation and realize how stupid I was for offering it. "Well sucks to suck, I'm taking it back."

"Just tell me what's so scary about my appearance? What's wrong with it? Your parents don't seem to mind. Your sister and her friend don't seem to be frightened. Anyone who's talked to me even once can get past it. Why can't you?"

"Maybe because every word that comes out of your mouth is used to insult me in some way. You won't stop calling me Mary for Christ sake! The name is effing Sutton!!"

"You wanna know why I call you Mary? Huh?!"

"Please, do enlighten me!"

"Because I like your innocence. I like the fact that  you act like a virgin Mary, hell I even like that you look like one. I like that you're different than the people that I normally hang out with. I like that you're pure."

"If you don't like the kind of people you hang out with then just find some new friends. It doesn't have to be me."

"Yes it does. You're not like the other Mary's and I didn't know that when I first met you, that's why I was so rude and closed off in the first place. But now I'm starting to get to know you and all of your qualities and I don't know. You're different."

"You've known me for all of 24 hours, you don't know a thing about me."

"Let's see, you skate, you're training for the olympics, you like movies, you like your family, you like kids, you're stubborn and sassy and feisty, I know you're a virgin even though you claim not to be, you like zebra," he says, gesturing to my comforter. "You can't go twelve hours without being on ice and most importantly you know that I'm different too." Harry is now standing not six inches away from me and I can feel his warm breath meeting my face as he moves closer. "Admit that you're just being stubborn."

"Harry-"

"Admit it Mary." I back away and stare at him.

"Stop calling me that! I know you see it as a compliment but myself and many others see it as just the opposite. I'm not just some innocent girl you can harass whenever you have nothing better to do. I'm sure come Monday you'll be back at Eastern and forget about me. I'm not just someone you can keep busy with!!"

"Sutton, it's not like that."

"Finally, the man learns my name!! Still doesn't change anthing, get out."

"No."

"Harry. Get out of my house." I warn.

"What are you gonna do? Go running to your parents? Tattle on the bad boy that won't leave you alone? Call the cops? Little Mary can't protect herself so she enlists the help of everyone else. I bet you'd even have your little sister chase me. You're too scared to do it yourself so you go get someone else instead of admitting that you want me stay." I raise my hand to slap him clear across his left cheek but his hand grabs my wrist. Instead of pushing it down he pulls me closer and kisses me. I squirm and yank myself back, turning around to face away from him, my fingers flying up to my lips in shock.
