X-periment 5

The Tablets

I expected the Sentries would have no trouble handling Levii.

            Never had I been more wrong.

            The entire event unfolded quite fast, but I was bewildered by his unexpected skill. 15 Sentries pointed their guns at me and 1 approached with a razor in hand. Levii moved away from me but 2 Sentries rammed into him, to which he quickly blocked and avoided being tased. The Sentry approaching me gave me a onceover at my tied body and then did something unexpected. He got on top of me and held the razor at my neck. A sudden feeling of dread washed over me as I realized he was about to cut my throat. What was happening? I lashed out at him but the restraints kept me down. I turned my head, Levii and I made eye contact. He opened his mouth as I let out a strained cry. For the first time I was extremely vulnerable. He blinked his eyes twice and quickly dodged the Sentries approaching and tackled the Sentry who had gotten on top of me. The razor fell out of his hand and landed just inches from mine. It took me multiple attempts, but I soon had the razor hidden in my palm. I began to cut my retrains.

Levii punched the Sentry repeatedly before more Sentries surrounded him. He let go of the Sentry who was bloody but surely unconscious, then punched the nearest one square in the jaw before kicking another to a corner and dropkicking the last. More Sentries decided to corner him and each of them ended up piled on top of each other clearly not conscious. 2 more then took out their guns and shot without hesitation.

            How he happened to avoid the bullets I did not understand. He came up close behind one of them and stealthily took the gun out of the Sentries grasp to which he then hit the Sentry with it on the back on his neck. He fell to the ground and before the other Sentry could react he was also knocked unconscious. The one Sentry that hadn’t attacked Levii was also on the ground, with Xander crouched down next to them. He stood and walked over each of the Guards and let out a long whistle.

            “Did you kill any of them?” he asked meeting Levii’s gaze

            Levii looked at the guards and scoffed. “Maybe. I just reacted.” He kicked the Sentry at his feet, who stirred in response. “Actually nope, but this gives us a maximum of 3 hours to get the hell out of here.”

            By this point I was able to untie myself from the restraints using a razor that had fell out of a Sentry’s tactical belt. As soon as I was free I sprang up and ran into Levii who I assumed forgot about me. I had to be trained in the all forms of fighting, but aikido was my one of my favorites. He grabbed me by my wrists but I went around his arms and cut down on his elbow sharply. I then put my hand through his arms and slid my hand to grab hold of his wrist and pressed on his pressure point where he began to resist. From there I quickly turned him grabbed the back of his head, where my hand rotated and he flipped onto his back. I shook my head as it was proven he didn’t know how to block a simple kaitenage. He groaned in pain and just then Xander grabbed me from behind. I quickly reacted by stomping on his foot and wringing his fingers. He let go and I then I stepped back a good distance before I cut kicked him and he jumped back to the wall and doubled over. I took my chance and ran.

            I looked at both sides of the hallway where I was. This section had to be in the Academic-Residential or so help me I would get lost. I remember that the Sentries had come from the left so I went down that way. My bare feet were cool against the tiled floor and I ran until I hopefully walked into someone.

            I felt like I was running in circles and my earlier headache had retuned. I fell onto the side of the wall and panted. Beats of sweat stuck my dark brown hair to my face. I then slid my back from the wall to the ground and closed my eyes. I needed to think about my recent actions using the questions I had always asked myself in times such as this; a time of uncertainty.
