Whoever had organized this trial was clearly clever enough to make sure I couldn’t take off this blindfold. No matter how quick my fingers could possibly move to untie the complex knot, another bullet would zoom past me. This time, it came from my left. Immediately I gave up on all attempts to take off the blindfold and sprinted off in the direction to where the bullet had nearly hit me. Along with this, the said organizer of this trial was smart enough to have the trial take place here in the wilderness, surrounded by all these trees. Luckily, I was aware of the trees location given the smell of strong terpene they emitted. That, and I had nearly flung myself into them a number of times. They were nature’s obstacles not man made, so there was no way I could disable them in any way. But I needed to get around in order to locate the shooter, and even if I wasn't supposed to hurt him/her, I was definitely going to sneak a punch in there. A bullet hit the tree on my right as I zigzagged through, pushing my arms off of the trees each time I moved to the next. A bullet came at my left nearly penetrating my arm. The shooter had to be using some sort of sniper to make these shots. I hide behind a tree to regain my breath. I listen quietly and then I hear it, the crunching of boots over leaves. not to far but at least 30 feet away from this tree’s location. Stealthily I move to the tree to my right and I get the crazed idea to climb its branches. It’s a trial Rye, you might as well do the unexpected.

WIth this logic I decide to start climbing the tree, gripping the branches to pull myself up wards. I climb and make sure that each branch could support my weight. I hear chirping near me but I continue to climb at least 10 feet and  then decide to crouch down and listen. I hear a huff  from below along with a voice whisper “Where is she…” and without any assessment of the situation I leap off and land right on top of the shoot with a loud UMPH. Immediately I take hold of the sniper and smack it hard against the shooter’s head once, who happens to be wearing a helmet and throw the firearm aside as far as I could. I hear it land 6 feet away. The figure rises slowly and I quickly hurl myself at her. I could tell it was a girl given her slender figure and nails trying to pry me off of her. “You little…” and before I know it she throws herself backwards and I land sharply on my back. I try to ignore the pain that shoots up my spine and roll over so that she faces the ground. Her helmet comes off of her and i quickly kick it away. She squirms under me and I pin her arms down.

“No use, because right now I’m very annoyed. Being told that this would be a quick in and out test, and having to do this damn trial or whatever the hell it is you call it tends to irritate some people.” she tries once more to get me off of her, but I shove her back into the ground. “I am one of those people.”

“Very good to know. Short-tempered when not informed about events-oh just shorten that to livid when it comes to surprises of any nature.” a voice from behind me says in a heavy accent. A pair of strong arms pull me off from the girl and then the blindfold is taken off of me. Its then that I notice that tiny needles on the fabric was the reason I couldn’t pull it off my head even if I managed to undo the knot. The light blinds me for a moment, but I quickly adjust and look at my attacker and tackle her to the ground once more and give her a punch to the jaw. Quickly I’m pulled off of her and then hear the word impulsive. I roll my eyes. I’m someone of her word and I always go through with what I say I would. Are you sure of that?

When it's deemed that I won't attack my shooter again she walks towards me and I get a good look at her. Skin that wasslightly tanned from the sun and wavy black hair in a ponytail make her seem very mundane but her bright green were blazing with anger.

“Nice to know that you can throw a good punch.” she smirks as she starts to massage her jaw with her hand. I remain silent until she  meets my glare and tilts her head  to the people behind me. “So, are we going inside the base or what? Dr. Sky said she was on her way and surely Thane, you wouldn’t want to keep your ‘guest’ here waiting? Dr. X this title applies to you...not the mongrel.”
