It was a dark clear night outside, the air was cold yet crisp. It was beautiful night with not a cloud in the sky. Tonight was a night of celebration it was Christmas Eve, but it was also happy Hufflepuff's birthday. Dan Williams was in his 6th year at Hogwarts and every year he and his little sister Judy snuck outside to watch the stars. It had been their tradition since childhood and they continued it when Judy came to Hogwarts.

The halls were filled with gorgeous garland, bells, and Christmas lights. Dan rounded the hall quickly looking before he went down it. He saw his baby sister right were they always promised to meet. "Judy!" He said in a hushed voice, a large happy grin on his face. "Happy birthday Dan!" She said as she jumped into his arms.

Her brother was her best friend and always will be. She has like 2 friends in her year and she is to shy to make anymore. Because of this she stuck around with her brother, which lead her to become friends with all of his friends. They all acted like a big brother to her. She loved them all dearly; she would do anything for them because to her they were family and family is everything to her.

Dan and Judy walked out into the courtyard being careful not to make anyone hear them. Judy was the Ravenclaw perfect so that was always an excuse for her but not for Dan. They walked down to the tree by the Black Lake and laid down on the ground.

"So what story will it be today Judy?" Dan's voice rang in the silent night.

"The story of Gemini." She said softly while pointing to the sky towards the constellation. "The story is of fraternal twins Castor and Pollux they are the sons of Leda. Zeus had disguised himself as a swan and seduced Leda, who laid an egg from which Helen and Pollux were born. At the same time she also gave birth to Castor and Clytaemnestra, children of her husband Tyndareus. So they weren't actually twins. Since Pollux was the son of a Zeus, he was immortal, but Castor was mortal. The brothers grew very close to one another and so when Castor was killed in the Olympic game. Pollux was so saddened by this and decided to asked Zeus to permit him to die so Castor wouldn't be alone. So Zeus decided to place both of the boys in the sky where they will forever be together." She spoke the story with such passion. The story of the boys was one not of romance or stupidity but only of the indescribable bond between two siblings. The love that Pollux had for his brother was admirable and that is why she loved the story so much.

"Love you Dan."

"Love you Judy."

"That was a lovely story." He said in a soft tone. "They will forever be together! You would think they would be sick of each other by now wouldn't you? No, they are still as close together as they were when they first got put in the sky." He saw his sister smile at him,

"Well Danny boy they can't actually move. So even if they didn't get along anymore they can't move anywhere. Stars can't just get up and move stupid" She said sarcastically to him.

Judy grabbed the box beside her and handed it to him. It was perfectly wrapped with a bow and everything. "I thought I told you to save your money and not get me two gifts this year!" He exclaimed to her with a small smile. "Never said I got you a Christmas gift now did I?" She said in a teasing tone. He raised an eyebrow at her, he knew she was lying. They broke out into a laughing fit. "Ok open the present!" Judy said slightly out of breath.

When Dan opened the gift he felt a gush of something coming towards his face. He let out a startled yelp and immediately looked around and saw glitter everywhere. Dan looked for his sister, he could hear her giggling, he saw her running up to the school. "Judy!" He screamed but it was to late she already was inside. So he just sat there in the aftermath, she was lucky she was fast. She is in so much trouble tomorrow! Dan cleaned himself of the glitter with a flick of his wand. After that he leaned back and looked right back up at the stars with a happy smile still on his face.
