Alive Again

Chapter 1

**Grace's P.O.V**

I don't know how long it has been, since I had been shot, but I surely wasn't dead, unless this was Heaven. My eyes slowly, but surely, fluttered open, though it felt as if, I couldn't move. Like something evil, was dragging me somewhere. I was about to give up, shut my eyes, just let the creature take me, when I heard Matt's voice on the phone, along with someone crying.

I suddenly, had the strength to shift slightly forwards. Suddenly, I heard a noise that scared the crap out of me. It was a long beeping noise. It took me a minute to realize, that I had just accidentally disconnected a wire that was connected to the heart monitor. I glanced over, to see the heart monitor in a straight line. Oh shit! The doctors would be here any moment! I quickly reconnected the wire, making the monitor shut up.

**Josh's P.O.V**

I actually wanted to kill myself right now. The love of my life, was dead. Her body lay a few meters away from me. Jessica, being startled by the loud beeping, and jumped to her feet.

"OH MY GOD!" She screamed. Tears streaming down her face.

Matt, as well as I, stayed motionless.

I finally felt the strength to move, and pushed the door open, to reveal Grace sitting up looking over at me.

I stopped dead in my tracks.

"G-Grace?" I said, my knees quivering.

Suddenly, the heroin craving, went away.

I closed my eyes for a second, then reopened them, just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Sure enough, Grace was still there, sitting on the hospital bed.

I slowly walked towards the hospital bed, and repeated again,"Grace?"

This time, I felt a tear fall from my eye, but not a tear of saddess, a tear of happiness, a tear of relief. Grace smiled, then said," Hi Josh..." I wrapped my arms around her, squeezing her tightly, until I heard her say,"OW!" I quickly pulled away. I saw Grace quickly grab her side, where Amanda had shot her. "Oh my...I'm so sorry! I forgot and.." Grace wouldn't let me continue, she cut me off. "It's fine Josh.." Then pulled me in for a kiss.

I couldn't tell you how amazing it felt to finally feel her soft lips pressed up against mine again.

We stayed there kissing for what felt like forever until we heard someone cough.

It was Nicole.

"Oh umm...hey.." I said, my head quickly snapping up at her, turning away from Grace.

"Ummm...hi..." Nicole said awkwardly.

**Nicole's P.O.V**

I rushed through the hospital doors and to the room Grace was staying in.

To my surprise, Josh wasn't even there.

Wouldn't Josh want to be here? Aren't they dating? Whatever.

I approached Matt, who was sitting with his eyes closed, his arms wrapped tightly around his legs, and his face buried by his knees.

Jessica's face, smudged with mascara, was resting on Matt's shoulder.

"Ummm.." I said hesitantly.

"What happened?"

Matt slowly lifted his head, now facing me. Jessica did the same.
