Chapter 21

A little over a year later..

**Grace's P.O.V**

I stood smoothing over the fabric of my long white dress. Today was going to be perfect.

"There you are!" Jessica smiled.

"Here I am!" I smiled.

"Someone's excited." Jessica half sang.

"Well can you blame me? I'm getting married Jessica!"

"I know, I know. I'm just teasing you. You look gorgeous by the way."

I blushed,"Thank you, so do you."

I had picked Jessica to be my maid of honor. She wore a pretty blue dress.

"Is that a ring I see on your finger" I teased.

"Yes! He finally proposed!"

"Well congratulations!" I said hugging her.

"It's time for you to go get married." she smiled.

Then her and Matt walked down the aisle. Yes, Josh had picked Matt to be his best man.

Suddenly, my father approached me.

"You look beautiful." he said.

"Thank you." I blushed.

"I can't believe my little girl is getting married already!" he smiled.

I smiled back,"Daddy I'll always be your little girl."

He smiled again before pulling me into a hug.

"He's lucky to have you."

"No." I thought to myself. "I'm lucky to have him."

"Ready?"

I nodded and linked arms with my father. We walked down the aisle slowly before separating so I could stand with Josh. He was wearing a basic black suit an tie, with his hair straightened.

The priest began to speak and we said our vows to one another, promising to be there forever and always, through better or worse.

Then it was time for each of us to slide on a ring. Josh slid mine on first, smiling and looking into my eyes the entire time. I did the same to him.

"Do you Josh, take Grace to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"And do you Grace, take Josh to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

"Then I now pronounce you husband and wife."

I looked into Josh's eyes eagerly.

"You may now kiss the bride."

He lifted my vail i was wearing over my head. Then I felt Josh grab around my waist and pull me in for a kiss. I could hear the crowd cheering and clapping as my lips connected with his. The kiss wasn't as long as I wanted it to be, but with lots of people watching I was okay with that.

As we walked back through the aisle I felt Josh squeeze my hand. I looked at him and smiled.

"After all we've been through we finally got our happily ever after." I smiled.

"Happily, ever after we lived. The end." he spoke referencing one of the songs on Ever After.

I smiled and kissed him again once we were in the back room.

Now my life really was perfect. There was nothing else for us to worry about. It felt almost as if a new chapter of my life had been opened and was just beginning.

"I love you, Mrs. Ramsay." Josh smiled before kissing me again.

"Forever and always." I mumbled into the kiss.

At that moment. It felt like I had been set free to do what I want. I suddenly felt..
