Chapter 15

**Grace's P.O.V**

As he stepped closer to me, I could now clearly see what he was holding. It appeared as a long rod, my guess a taser. As he pointed the rod to my stomach I felt a billion bolts of energy run through my body. It almost felt as if I was having a seizure, they way I just lay there and twitched.

I felt so vulnerable, so limp, so lifeless. Suddenly I was hit again with the energy. I screamed out in pain. Suddenly, as I lay there and twitched Amanda came an whispered something to Derek. Then she handed him some duct tape and waited as he walked over to me.

Chris walked over to the direction of my hands. Grabbing one of them and slipping off my engagement ring. I squirmed as he was leaving yelling,"GIVE THAT BACK! IT'S MINE!"

Then suddenly he placed duct tape on my mouth and anther shock of energy ran through me as he tased me again. He walked back to hand Amanda the ring. I saw her slip it onto her long slender finger and walk back upstairs.

I was done. I was never going to marry Josh. They could kill me anytime they wanted to. I was putty in their hands. So vulnerable, so weak, so helpless. I felt darkness enclose over me when I was hit with the next bolt of energy.

Josh, I love you.

**Josh's P.O.V**

When I arrived at Amanda's house I knocked loudly on the door. She answered and before I had time to say anything she locked her lips onto mine pinning me against her door.

I punched her in the stomach causing her to jump back away from me in pain.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?" I screamed at her.

"What?" she asked," I'm not allowed to kiss my fiancé?"

She held up her hand. It had an engagement ring on her finger, the exact ring I gave Grace.

This seemed all too familiar. Was I dreaming again? I pinched myself to make sure this was reality. Yup. Suddenly, I heard sirens approaching her house.

She grabbed me slamming her lips into mine. She started knotting her fingers through my hair as I tried to pull away. She only tugged at my hair forcing me to stay where I was. Suddenly I forcefully pushed back and came face to face with a cop.

"Uh we got a call that someone was in trouble?" he asked.

"What? Who would do such a thing? There's no trouble here, it's just me and my fiancé." Amanda said.

"Oh..well maybe I've got the wrong house number." he said.

I was just about to speak up when the officer said,"Hey aren't you Josh Ramsay?"

I nodded.

"What a second...aren't you engaged to that Grace girl?" he said.

"Yes that's me." Amanda chirped.

"Yes! I'm trying to save her! We got back about a half hour ago and Grace left to come here. You see we were getting death threats from her and her partner Derek. I was the one who called you. She isn't my fiancé. My fiancé is somewhere, probably in pain all thanks to her!" I said pointing to Amanda.

"Oh and her name is Amanda, my ex girlfriend. Her partner's name is Derek, Grace's ex boyfriend."

"Officer, he hasn't been himself lately, I wouldn't believe anything he says." Amanda said innocently.

"Ms. I'd like to do a full house check." the officer said.

"What..why?" she said.

"Do you have a problem with that?" the officer said.
