I woke up with a metal taste in my mouth, three day later. I was forced to bed rest. It was so boring. The volturi had left, including Alec. Why was I so drawn to him. I only just met him. When Carlisle came in to check my leg, I decided to ask him a question that had been on my mind for a while. "Carlisle, what is a blood singer?"
"A blood singer is... a soulmate to humans." He looked up to see my confused face. "Soulmates are found and called many different way and have many different legends. Like with Jacob, the wolf kind imprint. Instant soulmates."
"What about vampires." I asked him.
"Well, that's where the blood singer comes in. If a vampire's soul mate is human, then they are attracted to the blood. Most vampires choose to drink their blood singer, but sometimes they fall in love and have an extreme protectiveness for them. Like, Edward was with Bella." He elaborated.
"And for if they are both vampires?" I questioned.
"If they are both vampires, they will have a very strong attraction to each other. It's almost like a wolf. They would literally do anything to be with each other. Oh, and one died the other would feel like there was no point to life." He looks at me questioningly. "Why are you asking?"
My eyes widen. "Well, I-i just- in my vision- uh one of the chasers- uh said something about it." I stutter.
"You're someone's blood singer?" Carlisle asked me. I nodded. "Do you know who?"
"I'm afraid to say it." I tell him. "I'm not sure everyone here would be okay with it."
"Lilla, I can keep a secret." He giggles a little.
"That's not what I'm worried about. I know I can trust you Carlisle, but you mind. I can keep people out of my head, you..." I let the sentence finish itself. Carlisle nods and smiles at me.
"I understand." He said politely. "Your leg is looking a lot better and you can now leave your room, but you must use crutches." He made a serious face sarcastically. I giggled at him.
"Okay." I told him. He gave me the crutches and helped me stand. He opened the door and I maneuvered my way out. Everyone was sitting are the living room talking, but the moment I walked in they stopped their conversation and smiled at me. I smiled back and continued my way into the room. Their smiles faltered when they saw my crutches.
Everything went back to the way it was, but there were some differences. I still had the crutches, but didn't need them as much. Everyone was really tense and secretive. Also, I had this weird feeling that something was missing. I searched my entire room, but everything was in it's place. I went to the music room hoping to find something, anything.
I had learn how to play piano when I was extremely young. After piano I just picked up every other instrument like they were made for me. One of my favorite songs to play was one last wish from the movie Casper. I was obsessed with it. I got about halfway through and stop. I can't remember. I don't remember what happens next. I went back to the set of note I had played a second ago. Trying to remember I played it again. I did this for what seemed like an hour, then gave up.
No matter what I do, I just can't remember. If I saw my life as a picture I would think it was nice right now, but something just would be.... wrong. I sat down in the music room and just stared for a while. I thought of all the instruments in the room and about how the only one I hadn't known how to play was the violin.
Carlisle came into the music room with his baseball bat resting on his shoulder. "We' going to play baseball, do you want to come?" He asked me.
"No, I think I'll sit this one out." I said patting my leg. He nodded and left. When I heard the cars speed away I stood up and made my way to the piano. I played lithium by evanescence. I sang along. I never told any one about my voice. I liked the way it sounded, but I was afraid of what others would say. Plus, I sing with so much emotion that I could start crying, if I was really upset. Which I don't think I am.
