I was still hugging Alec and he was still hugging me back, when I heard one of the volturi members speaks.
"La tua cantante." He said. Alec and I pull away and I look confused, while Alec looks shocked. Everyone looks shocked. I break the growing silence.
"I don't understand." I state. Carlisle looks to me. His face is slowly shifting from shock to understanding.
"Lilla, he was speaking Italian." Carlisle explains.
"Okay, what does it mean?" I asked. Carlisle shakes his head. Everyone has slightly broken out of their shocked states. I turn to Alec, who looks frozen. "Alec?" His eyes snap to me, at the sound of his name.
"My dear, may we have a moment alone with our coven." The volturi leader asks me. He was the one from last night, the one with the elegant voice. I nod and stand to leave the room. Carlisle can comes forward and puts his hand on my back to guide me out.
My party guests and family go back to the kitchen. "Okay, what's going on?" I asked everyone. Carlisle walks over to the seat I was placed in and squats down to my eye level.
"Do you remember when I first gave you the crutches?" He asked me. I nod. "Remember what you were asking me about?" My heartbeats quicken. "La tua cantante is Italian for your singer. Marcus's gift is to sense the bonds between people. How two people are connected to each other." He elaborated.
"So, that means-" I choose not to finish my sentence.

"I need some air." I quickly stand up and walk out the back door. Keeping my pace fast, I walk all the way to the meadow. I lay in the middle of the field. Everything smells nice, but not like Alec. No matter how awkward this is, my feelings are still the same.
I had been laying there for what felt like an hour, when I hear footsteps. I closed my eyes taking in the warmth of the sun. Who ever was out here was standing right in the way of the sun. I sighed. Suddenly, two large legs were at my side. I snap my eyes to see who it is. A large volturi member was sitting on top of my hips. He leans down and smells my hair. "You know Alec isn't the only one your blood calls to. I don't know how he can control himself. Especially when his connection is stronger." I smiles at me devilishly. "I think I'm gonna play with my food before I drink it, today." He placed his hand on the back of my thigh and starts to slide it upwards.
"Get off of me." I spit out as I attempt to shove at his shoulders.
He laughs, "Now, why would I do that?" He grabs both of my wrist with one hand. "I'm just getting started. His fangs appeared and he slowly leans down toward my neck. I scream at the top of my lungs. Because his head was so close to my face, I basically screamed in his ear. He sat back up and glared at me.
"LILLA." I heard Alec call to me. I started to call out his name, but was quickly stopped by the large volturi members hand, which no long held my thigh, but was now on my neck. I couldn't breath. "FELIX!" I heard Alec scream. Then, the large volturi member attacked from the side. He still had his hands on me when he was knocked off the ground. So, I was sent flying across the meadow, only to land on my elbow twenty feet away. I screamed in pain. I turned to Alec and felix. They were fighting in the center of the meadow. Past them I see everyone else running to find us. At this point, my hand is holding my ,most likely broken, arm. As I whine and cry in pain. Everyone works together to get the two vampires to stop fighting, while Carlisle runs over to me and examins my injuries.
"EVERYONE, PLEASE STOP YELL!" I've never heard Carlisle yell before. "SHE CAN'T HEAR ME ASKING HER QUESTIONS." He continues. Everyone is staring at us. I scream again, causing Alec to rush over. "Lilla, did he bit you?"
"NO, it's my elbow!" I cry. "It hurts so much." I let out a little 'ah-haa'.
"Okay, we need to get you back to the house... again." He sighs.
"I got it." He quickly runs to my uninjured side. He carefully picks me up, but it still hurts. A short scream escapes my lips and I rest my head on his chest. "I know. I know, it hurts." He shushes in my ear. He's so calm. Only a minute ago he was full of rage. And now he's completely calm. I can feel his muscles as he carries me to the house.
