Amane's POV
It was around 10 am when I opened my eyes.
I wasn't able to sleep last night. I've never felt so alone since the day I woke up in this camp. Sighing, I head for the bathroom and take a bath. The bags under my eyes are very well fed.
After a warm bath, I wore training clothes and made a bun out of my hair. I wonder if I could cut my hair, make it shorter. I head for the dinning hall to have a brunch.
As expected, the hall was almost empty except for a few nephilim eating. The bacon and eggs looked appetizing, but I didn't have the appetite. Someone sat beside me, carrying a plate of food. Mattini.
"Why the sad aura, Amane?" She asked, her blue eyes curious. I smiled at her.
"I guess the bacon and eggs made me sad?" I joked. She didn't smile or laugh. She frowned instead.
"They're good." She says, defending the bacon and eggs. Jake sat beside her, he looked anxious.
"What's wrong?" I heard Mattini question him. Oh God, I don't want to eavesdrop.
"There's been another attack in the camp in California, a lot of nephilim were dead." I hear him say quietly, like he didn't want me to hear it. But I heard it clearly.
"What? How? Oh my God, Drift will be depressed." Mattini sounded nervous. I saw Jake hold her hand in my peripheral vision.
"Demons. I don't know how they were able to do it, but a survivor says that they were able to step inside the camp without getting toasted." He explains. My head jerked unintentionally to Jake's direction.
"What?" I stupidly ask. Jake eyes me with an unreadable expression.
"Raphael went there with some nephilim to investigate. It sounds impossible that demons were able to attack the camp, but the thing is they almost killed everyone inside the camp. All except 1." He says, he sounded afraid. Azazel really is fulfilling his threat.
"Where is the survivor? Is he or she here? Please tell me it's Amber." Mattini's voice tremble. Who's Amber?
"She's here. And yes, It's Amber." Jake answers, I heard Mattini sigh in relief. "But she's not in good shape."

I went to the training room, eager to train again with whoever is willing to train with me. It was just 12 noon, but I don't care. I don't want to sulk and be bored to death. I want to have something to do.
Gabby was the only one in the training room. She had her back on me, but I knew it's her. Her angelic aura is emanating in the training room.
She was holding some kind of metal. It twisted and turned as her hands moved. Oh, She's wielding it. Her head turned to my direction. She was frowning, but upon seeing me, her features soften.
"Amane, you're quite early. It's still 12, an hour before training starts. Besides, I don't require you to train today." She says, focusing back on what she was doing. I walk toward her, curious on what she will be making.
The edge of the metal became sharp and wider. The other edge became a little wider and thicker, but not sharp. She's making a blade.
She held the hilt of the blade, making it glow. She muttered words I didn't understand and the blade's glow faded. She's blessing it. She run her forefinger on the blade, I thought she was going to nick herself, but the blade seems to just go through her skin. Gabby put the blade aside, sighing in disappointment.
