Yes this is just a filler chapter I have stuff planned for the next one I just wanted to get this out of the way and give y'all a chapter :) I also want to give a big thanks to my fren Isle-Of-The-Lost for helping me with ideas for this story 😊😊

After the introductions were over, Ezra helped me out from under the table. He knew I couldn't talk in front of people, so he didn't give me any grief about it. As I stood up, I noticed some of the peculiar looking at me, judging me.
I shrunk back, but nevertheless ignored it.

"Iris, Ezra, we have your rooms ready!" Miss Peregrine told us. "Horace, please take them there, we wouldn't want our guests to get lost, now would we?"

The blond boy from earlier came foreword, tipping his hat slightly at the ymbryne. "No ma'am, that would be just horrible." Then he smiled and motioned for us to follow him up the grand stairway.

"Percy and Nico are going to share one room, while you and Iris have another. I hope that's alright with you?" Ezra glanced over to me, silently asking if that was going to be alright. He knew I never really left my brothers. They were both (Nico mostly) timid and shy, and most of the time I acted as their mother. But I knew that couldn't last forever. They had to grow up sometime, not necessarily grow old.

"That's fine." I smiled. Horace opened a door to reveal a navy blue room with two twin-sized beds against one wall and a small desk and wardrobe on the other.

Percy squealed and left my grasp, running over to the bed and jumping in it. Nico however, looked up to me. I smiled a bit and pushed him towards his brother.

"Go on, Neeks. Ezra and I are right down the hall, and I'm sure our bags will be brought up shortly." He smiled and tugged me down to give a soft peck under my snakebites, then he left and climbed into the bed next to his brother.

Ezra laughed, while Horace looked at me a little, let's say, peculiar. He caught my eyes spying on him (again) and blinked twice, then shook it off as if he had seen something else for a second. He turned and led us down the hallway.

"Alright here's your room!" He exclaimed. Ezra opened the door to reveal a cream-colored bedroom with two four-poster beds, a desk, and two chests that sat beneath a painting of a moose. "You guys will be sharing a room until we can empty out Abe's old room for Ezra." Horace exclaimed, messing with the weird spectacle that he had in his pocket.

"Thank you, Horace." I smiled at the boy, who gave a sparking grin back. "Anytime, ma'am!" He left us to our room, and soon a cute boy I think was named Enoch came up with our bags. "Thanks," Ezra told him, taking it mine and his own bags. Enoch grumbled in response, then caught my eye for a second.

He left soon after. I followed Ezra into our room. It smelled faintly like my old neighborhood, which was probably due to the potted daisy that was on the windowsill. I kicked off my shoes and plopped down into the bed closest to the window, resting my feet on the pillow. I knew that I shouldn't sleep, it was only around 2 and I would probably have nightmares, but I didn't care. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I let sleep overtake me and I was out like a lightbulb.
