When I see you, maybe it will not be like the first time,

It will not have the same excitement and we will not have the same smile,

When I see you, we may no longer be the same people,

We will not look at the same thing nor dare to face the same gamble.

When I see you, my mind may forget what my heart cannot,

I may forget the memories and the pains but never the feelings we got,

When I see you, I may not recognize the person I once kept dear in my heart,

I may not dare to look back at that painful day when we decided to stay apart.

When I see you, I may still ask the same questions and cry the same tears,

I may still carry the weight and may still need to face the very same fears,

When I see you, we may just be two strangers left with memories,

But when I see you, I will make sure you'll find in your heart what you really miss.
