Later that night, Jim and his mother sat in Jim's room. He told her the rest of the story. Especially about the fact that Strickler bound their lives and almost caused her death. He made sure that she would hold no grudges against Draal, because Jim probably would be dead if he wasn't there. He showed her his new armor. After Barbara had finished her questions, Jim had a few.
"Mom, what are you gonna with Strickler?" He asked.
"I'm not sure. What do you think we should do?"
"Kick him out, throw him on the streets."
"That's a little harsh, don't you think?" Jim gave his mother a look.
"Not in the least. In fact it's a favor compared to other things we could, or even should, do." He said.
"How about we give him a heads up? It's a bit much to throw on someone." She suggested.
"Fine we tell him tonight. Then he'll be gone by tomorrow night." Jim added.
"It's a deal. But I'll tell him." Barbara said. Jim nodded. She went downstairs to tell Strickler the not-so-great news. While she did this, Jim saw Toby walking into his house through his bedroom window. He waited for the lamp to be turned on. When the lamp went on Jim picked up the walkie-talkie.
"Trollhunter to Warhammer. Do you read Warhammer?" Jim spoke.
"I read. What up, Jimbo?"
"WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS TELL ME?!?" Jim shouted.
"About Strickler? To be honest, we didn't want you to kill us." Toby spoke. Really, Tobes? Jim thought to himself.
"Kill? Really? You think I'd kill you guys?" He asked disappointed.
"Well... hey, speaking of killing, what happened with Gunmar?" The cubby boy asked curiously.
"Gunmar? Oh.. well, he's dead. I killed him, with help of some rebelling changelings. But I'm glad it wasn't you guys there." Jim sighed.
"Oh? Why's that?"
"Because if they weren't killed, they were dying, or suffering from severe wounds."
"Oh... well I'm glad that wasn't us, too. Were you close to any of them?"
"Nope, they were all strangers to me."
"When you guys killed Gunmar, was Enrique with you? Did you scar the little boy's mind?" Toby asked jokingly.
"Pssh, no!" Jim lied. Toby death starred at him from across the street. "Fine, yes, he was there. But he's hardly a yera old. He won't remember a thing. Oh, by the way, I got a new amulet! It is soooo cool!"
"Awesome! You gotta show us some time, like tomorrow!" Jim laughed.
"Ok, ok... I promise." Then though the walkie you could hear 'Tobie-pie, who are you talking to? No one's in the house.'
"I'm talking to Jim through the walkie-talkie you got us." Toby yelled. 'What's a walkie-talkie?'
"I gotta go re-explain to Nana what a walkie-talkie is, for the 40th time. Warhammer out." Toby said. Jim chuckled and went to bed.I know this chapter is kinda short, I'm sorry. But I'm lacking sleep, and I can't think straight. I promise the next chapter will be longer. Also 97 reads, guys. I honestly thought this story was gonna be a fail. This means so much to me. Thank you!
