A New Journey Awaits

Chapter 18

Desta's pov
Me, Evna, Blinky, AAARRRGGHH!!!, and her new friends, Jim, Toby, and Claire all arrived at the den. I looked at all the stalklings. Then I saw the stalkling I loved, his name is Dender. I raised him, but he fell for a female. I watched with pride as slept with his little family. I walked over to them, I heard some murmurs behind me before Evna shushed them all. I bent down and spoke softly.
"Hi, Dender." He twitched. "It's me, Desta." He opened his eyes and starred at me, before giving me a bath with his tongue. We all laughed. Except Toby, he was confused.
"Wait, I thought stalklings were dangerous." He said. I smiled and Evna spoke.
"Nah, they're just misunderstood." She said as a baby stalkling ran to Jim. He picked her up.
"Hi, Rosie." He said sweetly. Then almost all the stalklings got up and greeted us. Toby had three in his arms and was sitting on one's back.
"Hey why are some wearing arm bands and some wearing collars?" He asked. I wanted to answer, but I didn't know the answer. So Evna answered.
"It's the only way I can really tell them apart. If it's a family, then they all have the same color band or collar, just different shades." She said.
"Smart." AAARRRGGHH!!! said as tons of babies were climbing on him and nibbling on him. He was playing wth them. After an hour, we went for a ride on the stalklings. It was dark and cloudy so we didn't need to worry about being spotted. We landed in the park, to find a large troll, who was obviously friends with everyone else. He ended up coming back with us. We played truth or dare, then not-enrique found us. So now there was nine of us. We played hide and seek, tag, ghost in the graveyard, and watched movies. (Yes, Evna has a TV, she also has a fridge, AC, and everything else a normal home would have.) In the middle of the movie, Evna shot Blinky with her nerf gun. His face dropped, as did AAARRRGGHH!!!'s. I realized why she shot him. She paused the movie. We stood up in triumph.
"HAHAHA!! WE WIN!" She yelled. We did the happy dance.
"That's not fair, we don't have guns!" Blinky said.
"Yes you do." I said, I pointed next to them, where Evna had snuck nerf guns. This way they couldn't use that excuse. They sighed in defeat. "WE WIN THE WAR!" Everyone looked at each other in confusion, then Toby and Jim explained what was happening. This made my night 10x better. Ev unpaused the movie and I fell asleep.
    The next day I woke up still in the den. Everyone was here, I walked to the entrance of he den. Dark and rainy. In the distance I could hear the tornado siren. Then, startling me, Jim's phone rang. So did Toby's. As well as Claire's. Jim woke up to answer his phone. As he did, he woke up the other two. They all said they were at a friend's, which technically isn't lying. I assumed it was their parents, or guardians. This woke up Evna. She went to the fridge and pulled out the pizza. She always loved cold pizza. Then about an hour later everyone else woke up.
    "I want a rematch." Blinky said, yawning. The war. He wants a rematch.
    "I'm down for that." I say. Evna nods. So does AAARRRGGHH!!!
    "Hey, I want in." Toby says.
    "Ooh, me too." Claire yips. "Jim, you in?" He shakes his head to our disappointment.
    "Noo, I don't wanna get involved in these crazy friendship wars, I heard they don't end well. Besides I'd throw off the balance. Right now there's 3 people. 2 teams. I'll.. be a score-keeper?" He says. Everyone nods. "What about you Draal?"
    "I'll... not be in this. I don't want to get tangled up in this mess." He says backing away. Not-enrique does the same. Evna lays down the rules.
    "Alright we have our roles, now- no playing in while others are around. Score up to 35 per round, 15 rounds. Everyone gets on gun and 25 bullets to start. If get a bullet from the ground, it's yours. No buying bullets or guns. Game starts tonight." She says. It won't be the same as when it was just me, Ev, BB, and A-bird, but hey it'll be something to do, and maybe it'll be fun. I think to myself.

Hey guys, how'd you like this chapter? How ya'll been? In case you didn't know, A-bird is AAARRRGGHH!!! And I never really gave out the characteristics of my OCs. So Evna and Desta are pretty much the same. They grew up together, on their own. They are really playful and try to make everything a game. They are both 15. They do just about everything together and you see more of that later on. They have strong faith, and are constitutional. Though Desta doesn't always act like it because she isn't technically an American. They are tricked by each other but not so much by opponents. Dictatious (DD) is the very jealous, rude, and tense older brother of Blinky. He is technically not mine, he was mentioned in the show but I did give him his personality and look. Also the teams for the nerf war are Blinky, AAARRRGGHH!!!, and Toby vs Claire, Evna, and Desta (b vs g). (Also does anyone know if it's AAARRRGGHH!!! Or is it Arrrgh. I've seen it both ways.)
