Being the Princess of Lothlörien is not as luxurious as it sounds; in fact, being the princess is exactly why it isn’t luxurious.

Ninothriel, the daughter of King Celeborn and Queen Galadriel, the princess of Lothlörien and the next heir to the throne. I had lead a simple life, well if you can call being the princess at all simple. I spent most of my time out in the forest alone, the fresh air whipping across my face in the morning as I flew across the forest floor in my dragon hide boots. I was a practiced and skilful archer, the only talent that I believed I had ever possessed.

I was not born with the gift of foresight as my mother had, nor did I have the same elegance and graciousness of my father, I was my own person and all I wanted in life was an adventure.

Every day was about as boring as the next, that was until however the year 2841 of the Third Age, when rumours that Mordor was once again stirring in the east. This was the year that I escaped my life-long binds to the throne and began my journey across the borders of my own home and beyond.

I am aware that this story is slightly different to the original Lord of the Rings and Hobbit books, but I have changed some things in here that fits into my own story. I am writing this for mine and your own entertainment, so I hope you enjoy this as much as I have writing it!

Note: This story is set about a Century before Bilbo’s adventure in the novel The Hobbit by J R R Tolkien.
