Sooooo I haven't been on in a while but uh hi. And uh 88 reads. Wow. This story had like no reads to 88. thanks so much and I hope you enjoy the chapter.

I watched the pen glide on the page. I was actually doing this. I was moving. I passed the Pen and paper to the woman across the desk. "Thank you. The apartment is all yours." She gave me a smile and filed away my paper. "Thanks so much." I shook her hand and stood up. "You're welcome have a nice day." She motioned me to the door. "You too. I stepped out of her room into the long hallway of offices. I turned to the left and walked by the front desk. I walked out the door and heard the ding with it.

It was incredibly hot outside which made me feel sticky and sweaty. I unlocked my car to see the lights flash. I quickened my walking pace to get to the car faster. I phone started ringing as I reached the car. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey babe get the apartment?" He asked as I heard some rustling in the background. "Yeah. I did. I have to find some furniture though." I slid into the car and placed my purse in the passenger seat next to me. "We can go later. I'm about to film so when you come back you'll know where I'll be." I felt like he was smiling on the other side of the phone. "Okay. Bye. Love you." I waited for his reply. "Bye love you." I ended the call and placed my phone in the cup holder. I put the key into the ignition and started my car. I finally got my own apartment. I laughed at the thought of my moms reaction.

* back story. *
"Mom?! Hello?!" I called through the house. "I...in h...here." Her words were slurred and breathy. "Are you okay?" I ask as I sit at the end of my moms bed. "I'm great. What's g....got you so down?" Her smirk on her face only said one thing. She was drunk. "Mom. You said you would stop drinking." I rolled my eyes and shook my head. The reason my parents got a divorce was because of her alcohol problem. My mom would always yell at my dad about how he was never fun. But it was the alcohol speaking. "Don't roll your eyes at me!" She grabbed my ear. "Dad left because you drank. Now you are taking it out on us." My eyes traveled to hers. "Dad left because of you annoying little brats." She shoved my forehead. "Your father just got me pregnant and wanted an abortion. I wanted one too. But I didn't and couldn't so I brought you into this world. I never liked children." She rubbed her head as if it hurt. "You can't hurt us anymore. John is moving with his girlfriend. I mine as well move too. You obviously wouldn't care." I knew she wanted me to stay for someone to take her anger out on. But I couldn't stay any longer. "Leave. I don't care. I never did." She grabbed her lighter and cigarette pack from the nightstand. I just growled and headed to my room to pack up my things.

Im positive and happy about my life now without my mom and no one can change that. I pulled into Tals driveway and stopped my car. I grabbed my bag and headed inside.
