Chapter 4: Where is this going?

When we got home I finally let it all out.

"Mom what the heck is going on here??!!. Is there something you aren't telling me? Huh? Answer me!! Why does it say all of the crazy stuff in dads will about this lady who killed him and me going to a different school?!!!! Are you bonkers!!! I can't move school now anyways! Not in the middle of the ye-" she cut me off.

"First of all young lady you don't talk to me like that not matter what the circumstances are! I am you mother and you will treat me with the respect I deserve. Secondly, there is something I am not telling you but you must calm yourself before I tell you. If you do not calm down I cannot tell you." She looked really worried now.

"I'm sorry mom... I was just really angry that you didn't tell me about the things that got said in the will.... Anyways now I'm calm so you can tell me..." I said with a sigh.

" Of course. I'm so sorry I couldn't tell you this any sooner baby but after the war it was against the law to tell a child of the powers before the turned a certain age..." She said.

" Wait hold on a war??!! What war was this? And what powers are you talking about?"I said.

"Okay Violet here's the deal you cone from a long line of magic users. We go way back. Long time. This is going to sound like a really cliche story and everything but it's true so keep an open mind. Long ago our ancestors lived in a kingdom hidden from the outside world of non magic users by a magic shield. In our kingdom was a king and a queen. Both our king and queen were very kind and had a young daughter. She is one of your great ancestors and her name was Cassandra. Yes the Cassandra from the will. Not everyone in our land was good like our king and queen they hid themselves very well but the did cause a lot of trouble to let us know that they were still there. Those people also had some very powerful magic users and even a few fairies and dragons here and there. So every night they would come into our kingdom and posses a few of our people. They did this until they had an entire army full of people. And the overturned our kingdom in a Great War that went on for 5 years. Eventually we packed up our stuff and went into hiding in the human world of non magic wielders. Many us came together and met with a plan to restart our kingdom fresh and new. We made laws to protect us and one of those law was if you had a child who possessed magic powers then you had to keep their powers in a locket until they were 16 years of age. The way you would know that they had magic was the the moment you held them when they were born a surge of energy would rush through you. The more powerful the surge the more powerful the magic. Only the strongest and smartest magic wielders could go off to a special school at age 16 and receive their powers  so that they can someday rule out new kingdom. The others will be trained in a different school. Your powers were unlike any that anyone has ever felt. The moment I held you I felt that strong energy only this time it didn't stop. I passed out and even after I woke up I could still feel it lingering. This is why you are destined to be the new queen of our land. Therefore you need to be properly trained and well aware of your purpose. It will not be easy getting back your powers not will rebuilding our kingdom be. I wanted to tell you earlier so you wouldn't be overwhelmed by all of this but it was against the rules. I am so sorry you had to find out this way honey...." She said taking in a deep breath.

"Mom. Listen it's not your fault. I am not overwhelmed surprisingly. I feel , oddly, ready. My whole life I have dreamed of have even the slightest spark of magic in me and now I find out I do and I get to be a queen. This is actually a great day to be honest. Besides the whole dad dying and stuff but you know this is the best news I've gotten in a very long time." I said with a smile.

" Well it won't all be fun and games ya know but I think you are suited for it. Anyways you will have to go through the rest of the year at your school now but you can't come back for 11th grade because you will have to go to the school. And honey, do not tell another living soul about this. Okay?" She said

"Sure mom, no problem"

Wow that sure was heavy.... Violet just got told that she was chosen I be a new queen and build a new kingdom.... She taking surprisingly well for only being 16 years old. How long can she keep her cool? Is she really cold with all of this? What's going to happen with Cassandra? Dun dun duuuuunnnn!!
