As much as I wanted to follow Madi's instructions and get some rest, I couldn't sleep. My mind kept racing at the thought of who brought me here and why I black out. Also, why couldn't the book change appearance? Why did it keep flashing and changing colors? I was to busy thinking about how I got here, that I never realized that I didn't even take a moment to scan my surroundings. Where am I?

I sat up on the bed a took a quick survey of where I was. There was a soft glow in the room coming from the ceiling but there wasn't actually a light fixture that I could see. Instead, there were floating balls of yellowish looking lights. Of course, I should expect no less of a school full of magic. It looked like I was in a hospital type room. It was filled with beds neatly made up with white sheets. There were about six beds on either side of the room in very uniform rows. Even though it seemed like a hospital, the glow of the yellow light made me feel warm and safe. I decided to get up and take a small walk around the school to clear my mind a little bit before going to my room. I grabbed my bag and ventured off into the school.

The whole time I was walking, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me. I turned around multiple times but no one was there. Then I heard a cough from behind me. My blood. Ran. Cold. I froze in the place. Slowly, I turned around to see where the source of the cough was.

What greeted me was shocking.

It was my father. Standing there. Right in front of me.

Alive.

Or so I thought.

Sorry for such a short post guys. I can't promise the next one will be longer but I know it might foreshadow some things in the future. Maybe...
