0 ABY~
Sage spent the night in the cold dark air of the planet. No matter how much she sealed up the ship, the air crept through the cracks and brought a small breeze. It was almost torture. Sage laid there shivering, surprised at how it can become so cold after being so warm all day.
The only sounds that she could hear was the small mechanical whirring coming from both BB-8 and the ship as well as the wind and waves crashing against the rocky island. There was sea salt that lingered in the air causing Sage's eyes to sting all day and night.
She didn't know if it was worth it, she was happier than anything in the days but at night she became a cold, dark and lost soul whose mind poisoned her with negative thoughts. She was alone on the island, that was for sure.
The next day Sage did what she had been doing all week, sitting out on the edge, bathing in the sun and letting the Force flow through her. She was at peace, for once in her life.
She didn't let herself admit that she was scared to explore the rest of the island, afraid of what she'll find. The temple's entrances had been sealed off with rocks a long time ago and Sage didn't want to disturb it. She was good on food and water but if she was planning on staying there for the next few weeks, she would need more supplies. BB-8 was doing everything he could to research the planet from the ship's database.
Sage's legs were hanging off the edge of the cliff, her hands planted next to her on the ground as she slowed her breathing and close her eyes. Her eyebrows suddenly furrowed in, there was somebody watching her. She didn't dare to turn around without placing her hand on her blaster, turning her body and pointing it at the figure behind her.
It was a man dressed in ancient-looking robes, he was maybe a little older than her father was. He sat there, unfazed by the blaster pointing directly at him. Sage nonetheless stood up slowly, keeping her eyes and blaster on the man. BB-8 rolled out of the ship, convinced that Sage was going crazy. BB-8 looked to the empty air that Sage was pointing at and then back to Sage multiple times.
Sage ignored him, staring at the man with curiosity, "Who are you?"
The man's lips curled into a small smile, "I'm Master Jekwe Timbulon," the man spoke, pausing for a moment, "the better question is, who are you?"
Sage chose not to hear his question, "Master? As in Jedi Master?" Jekwe nodded, clasping his hands in front of him. Sage thought for a moment, "I'm Sage Kenobi."
Jekwe sort of paused when he heard her name, shaking it out of his mind. "Why did you chose your blaster?"
Sage's eyebrows furrowed in again, "What do you mean?"
Jekwe elaborated on the question, "When you woke up, you grabbed your blaster instead of your lightsaber."
Sage didn't know how to answer, she didn't know the answer. She took in that he had been watching her since the beginning of her morning. Sage answered truthfully, "I don't know, I just did." She looked at him, studied him, "Why are you here?"
Jekwe Timbulon stood there for a moment, the small fading from his lips, "Because you're here."
Sage squinted slightly at him, her only gave her a very small smirk before turning around and beginning to walk up the old stone steps of the island. Sage looked at BB-8, holstering her blaster, she looked back to the Jedi Master who continued walking, "That doesn't even make any sense," she muttered to herself before beginning to walk after Jekwe.
BB-8 let out a series of beeps causing Sage to stop, "No, BB-8, you stay with the ship, I'll be back soon, I promise."
Sage continued after the Master, jogging up the stone steps and following after him. She eventually caught up to his slow walk, out of breath. They came to a flat stone floor on top of the island's mountainous terrain, where the main entrance to the temple stood. It was no longer blocked off by rocks but she could now peer into the dark room, it was only just darkness. It terrified her, though she would never have admitted that.
