F E L I C I T Y was re-introduced to some of the Avengers again. Most of them remembered or recognized her from her dad's funeral.
When Tony had said she would be spending the weekend at headquarters, she was hoping to be able to explore Upstate New York, go hiking, and explore the little town nearby. Although being forced to remain on the property wasn't something she considered as a possibility
"Tony," she said to him, following him around from his office to the living room. "You're being awfully unreasonable. It's unfair. Mom lets me leave the house without permission."
"It is unfair," he agreed with missing a beat. "But it's my home. You're under my supervision and my rules. That's something you're going to have to make do with."
Fel groaned in response, annoyed when she heard the response she didn't like. She took a deep breath and exhaled, resenting the older man. There was never a middle ground, it was always his way or no way.
He rolled his eyes at her, turning away and walked towards the kitchen, leaving her standing in her room. "God, I sound like my dad," he grumbled to himself quietly. She tried letting her upset feelings coast over her head, imagining a wave of water going over her, leaving her untouched and pristine while the water cleansed her.
She set off to find Captain. She didn't know him that well but he was one of the very few adults she felt comfortable approaching. Of course, she was alright with approaching Tony. He was a special case to Fel, since he was a family friend. She's known him since she was a baby. Although, she didn't have the trust to confide in him and didn't know him well enough either.
Her earliest memories of Tony involved Vincent's worry. She had vague memories of her father being worried about Stark when he was kidnapped and missing for three months.
Vince and Tony were best friends but rarely did he ever visit New York. Usually, it was Vince that was away every weekend to California, which was alright since she got to spend time with her grandparents and occasionally fly with him to California too if she was lucky.
Fel's mom was probably still in contact with Stark regularly then if she was willing to send Fel away here for the weekend on the fly. It was just weird to be sent to stay the weekend with a family friend she barely knew. Of course, this man was the childhood best friend of her father. It was still a bit strange. Though, her father's trust in him reassured her.
It was odd being in a house full of strangers too. She felt a bit ashamed in how easily her mother cast her aside and willingly threw her into the arms of strangers to take her in for the weekend.
Somewhere around noon, she and Steve spent an hour preparing a meal for everyone.
Not long after, Tony came down the stairs, mumbling that he had to eat yet another low-calorie and well proportioned meal. "I need my nutrition," he rolled his eyes. "You're depriving me of food."
