    Chapter 24

London,1965

I pulled up to Syd's apartment, ready to see him again. I walked up the stairs and pulled out the key he gave me out of my pocket. I opened the door and didn't see Syd anywhere. All of his recording equipment was out as usual, but he was nowhere to be found. I went to his room and pulled out the binder full of drawings I left last time I was here. I walked back into the living room and began working on another drawing. It was a drawing of Syd. I thought about his dark, sleep deprived eyes. He was so beautiful, and my drawing could not do him justice. I heard the door opened and Syd and Roger came in. "Lucy!" He smiled. "Hi Syd." I smiled lovingly at him. "Hey Roger." I greeted. "Hey Luc." He waved. "Whatcha' doin here all alone?" "I just got home from college!" I smiled happily. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry I forgot,i've been so busy with the album,it slipped my mind." Syd sighed, running his hands through his hair. "It's okay babe, don't stress it." I smiled. "Whatcha' drawin'?" Roger asked, tilting his head. "Syd." I blushed, embarrassed. Syd leaned over to look at my drawing, and smiled. "It looks great." Roger took a long look at my artwork, and grinned. "You're a real talent." "Why thank you Rog." I smiled smally back. I closed the book and stood up to put it away. "You didn't break my recording stuff did you?" Syd joked. "Oh yeah, that was my master plan. I was going to break it so I could have you all to myself. Can't believe you foiled my plans." I joked back. Roger chuckled and announced he was leaving. "Bye,drive safe." I waved. "Will do." He held a thumbs up and walked out the door. Syd and I sat on the pallet he has set up in his apartment living room. I sat in between his legs.finishing my drawing of him. While I talked about college, and he about the studio. I held up the finished drawing and smiled. "It looks great babe." He smiled. "Not as good as the real thing." I fake frowned. He kissed my cheek,"You're the cutest thing around." "Next to you." I smiled widely.
