I Live For You

Liverpool, England, 1963

"For many years I wait

For many tears I wait

All this time my thoughts return to you

Give my love, that is all I can do

Wait in line till I feel you inside

Yes it's true

I live for you"

I heard George's beautiful voice from outside his door. He didn't know it, but I was listening to him. I had never heard him sing, and rarely had I heard him play. (Outside the few Quarrymen practices and shows I had attended.)

What he also didn't know is that I was here to tell him I loved him. We've known each other for almost five years, and we both liked each other. We went out on two dates, shared a kiss, held hands, y'know, all the cheesy couple stuff. But, we were broken up by George. He was a bastard, and went out with Carry Sowder.

We were working on patching things up, and I called him, telling him I wanted to see him, and that I had some news for him.

Smiling to myself, I opened the door when he ceased to play. Upon opening the door I saw Janet White sitting on his bed, holding his hand. "Fuck you George harrison! I regret the day I met you!"

As I ran from his house I heard him calling my name. I ignored his calls. Once a bastard always a bastard, I guess...

Two Months Later

"Hello?" I answered the phone. "Hey-uh-it's George. I want to see you. Maybe patch things up." Patch thing up? After what he did to me? Well, maybe he felt bad and wanted to tell me how much I meant to him...

Sighing, I weighed my options. On one hand, I could continue to cry about him everyday, or, on the other hand, I could just let it go and smooth it all out...

"Alright." "Great! Meet me out front. We're going for a walk." "Ight." I hang up the phone and slip on my shoes, preparing for this shit show.

"So um-the boys and I are going to the states for a tour...a really big tour. We'll be gone for six months-" "And you wanted to tell me goodbye? Well thanks, George. I love just being your fall back! I'm sick of being treated like a piece of meat! You can just use me, cast me aside, and think you can do it whenever. Goodbye George!"

"Lola, get back here!" He yelled, chasing me down the pavement. "No!" " I was going to ask you to come with me!" I stopped running, turning to look at him.

"Y-you what?" "I was going to ask you to come with me. I love you and I couldn't imagine life without you." I smiled through my tears that began to cloud my eyes. "These past two months have been hell without you. Not seeing you is something I don't ever want to live with. I want you to come with me. Please."

"Of course I will, George." I smiled, standing centimeters from his face. "I love you." "I love you too."
