Chapter One

"You will create an All About Me poster and it will be due next Monday."  said Mrs. Eve.

All About Me poster? Goody. I get to talk all about my dream book characters and my favourite books. I packed my stuff and walked out the door.

"Wait up!" a voice shouted, "Wait for me!"

I turned around. My best friend Nicole was running at me.

"Stop!" I yelled laughing.

"Haha, did you here about the All About Me project?"

"Of course I did. I'm not deaf you know." I

"Well you are when you start drawing those whatever runes."

"They're not whatever runes, stupid. They each have a name. See this one? It's called an angelic rune!"

"Blah blah blah. Whatever. Wanna come to my house for some cookies?"

I was planning to go home and finish my fifth time reading Insurgent.

"Nah, I don't feel well. Sorry"

"Well, see ya tomorrow at school then!"  she said.

"Ok! Bye!" I replied.

I walked down the hallway and exited through the doors. Ahhhh, another day of school done! I walked slowly on the sidewalk to my house. It's not that far. My house is only 5 minutes away from the school! I unlocked the door once I arrived at my house.

"Hey Mom!" I said, "I'm home!"

"Oh hey sweetie! she replied, "How was school?"

"It was ok..."

I raced up the stairs and changed out of my school clothes. My room is my favourite colour, blue. I have posters of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Jace Wayland, and Augustus Waters like ALL over the place. My sister Wendy calls my room a "fangirl junkyard". I always feel pissed whenever she says that because being a fangirl is not JUNK.  When I was done changing into my clothes, I took out my latest book and started reading it.

I was really into the book when all of the sudden, my phone rang.

"Hello?" I said, a bit pissed off because I had to stop reading.

"Hey Cheryl, it's Nicole!"

"Oh hey Nick! What's up?"

"Nothing much, just calling to see if you can help me with my homework!"

Nicole asked a couple of math questions and then started to talk to me about the All About Me project.

"So, what are you going to do for the project?" she asked.

"Oh me? Nothing really. Just going to include how much I love books......."

 "No kidding,"

"Ya, saying how much I love Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Narnia, The Mortal Instruments, The Fault in Our Stars...

BLEEP

"Hello? Nicole? You there?

I think she hung up on me. She always does. She hates it when I start talking about my favourite books.
