I was seated at shotgun, beside Louis who determinedly took the wheel back in Wisconsin.

Before we left the bunker back at the wasteland I made sure Niall had everything he needed to track down Liam's current location. I wasn't planning on missing any shots at him at tonight. There were all good signs happening around us as Louis, Niall and I hopped into the van alone. Niall was able to bring up Liam's signal right away, catching him on the move somewhere deep in downtown Chicago. For now, we were stuck chasing the little red dot that decorated the screen of Niall's mobile tracker in my hands.

"I'm going to ring out that bastards neck." I force out through my clenched teeth once looking away from the wide tracking screen.

An elbow leaned into my shoulder rest as Niall squirmed his way closer to the front seat, "Turn here," He pointed right for Louis. The van took a particularly sharp turn down the street causing both Niall and I to fall back into our seats.

The wheel's below us skidded through the street life, turning right onto an empty road that was covered overhead by tall flat buildings and tarp like awnings. I felt Louis press into the gas a little harder this time, catching up to the next green light.

"Boss you wouldn't want to do that." Louis shrugged, keeping his hands on the steering wheel firmly.

I look at the dot again to make sure Liam's signal was still there,"I didn't mean it as in I plan on killing him... yet." I cough out the last part quietly.

"Lou, left here!" Niall butted in again, sticking his head forward and pointing at the next light. It turned red right as Louis crossed over the white line.

Louis huffed, pointing to the roof of the car as if to prove a point, "I know you wouldn't like to hear this now since it's quite possible that he's a sitting duck with your girlfriend but Addison cares about him." Louis states. My teeth grit at the sound of her name. My eyes and thoughts were kept solemnly on that little red dot that began to squirm in one place. "She'd never let you hurt him. Things are different now."

"Shut up." I snap back at Louis, instantly causing him to stare forward with his lips thin shut.

Suddenly the little red dot began to shift again. It was moving rather slowly, fidgeting between two flat complexes.

"He's on the move!" Niall shout's beside me, leaning forward in his seat. Louis slams down onto the gas and the van races forward, dropping onto the same street the dot had resided for so long. "Hurry Lou, he's getting away!" Niall pulled his body forward even more and shoved his finger to the mobile tracker's screen. It widened in my hand, expanding names of streets and flat buildings that were now all around us in person.

I watched the dot until it started moving faster. He was no longer on foot. I look forward to the streets. There were white painted townhouses and apartment flats that scraped at the night sky. A slight drizzle began to cover the windshield as Louis sped past a stop sign, completely missing the road Donners where the dot was rested. It was quiet until a loud screech torn through the streets behind us. I turned sideways to catch in the side mirror where a dark SUV pulled out onto the street from an underground car park. Sparks flew from the rubber tires and metal cracked against its own side mirrors while crashing through the underground gate.
