November 1, 2015

Things were blurry. Things were shaky. I didn't feel okay. I couldn't remember anything. Where was I? Where was Calum? Delaney? The group?

Those were the thoughts running in my head once I woke up.

Fortunate for me, the first person I saw was Delaney.

I straightened myself up. My head was pounding and my hands were shaking.

Delaney turned around.

"Hey. Lay down please," She said. She gently pushed me down so I could lay down.

"Where am I? What's happening? Where's Calum? Delaney," my voice started to shake and tears started rolling down my face, "I'm scared. Please answer me,"

Delaney  scooted closer to me and hovered on top of my face. She got her thumb, wiped my tears, and gave me a weak smile.

"I'll tell you everything in a bit. The only thing I can tell you now is that you're safe. I promise. I'm gonna go get you some clothes and we'll get some breakfast at a dinner close from here," She said.

But she stood up and went out the door. Left me alone with millions of questions.

Delaney had brought me some clothes. They definitely weren't mine, they weren't even women clothes. They were men clothes.

"Dee, who's clothes are these?" I asked as I stood up from the bed.

Dee scratched the back of her head and gave me an awkward smile.

"Dee?"

"Let's just say I got them from someone who saved your life,"

Calum.

I slipped on the shirt and the baggy sweatpants. I walked outside to wait for Delaney.

As I walked downstairs I saw the whole place was trashed. Bras hanging on the chandeliers, red party cups on the floors and tables, food and trash everywhere, and the most scary thing, people passed out. The house was a total mess, I wondered who had to clean it up.

"Ready, Z?" Dee was running down the stairs and tripped over a two plastic cups.

"Are my cups making you trip?" I asked and walked towards the door

"Azure wait up!" Delaney yelled out

But I scoffed and slammed the door

The ride to the diner was quiet. But the reality was everything was quiet.

My phone hadn't rung. I had missed calls from last night but no messages now. The street was quiet as well. No cars, no people. My question now was, why was everything so quiet? Why was the world giving me silent treatment when I most needed answers? The world was being unfair and I was starting to feel like all the bad things were coming back.

"Azure, get off. We're here," Delaney was already out of car. She had a serious expression on her face. It wasn't her usually cheery self. What could have gone wrong in one night?

I got off the car and started walking towards the dinner. And just when you thought things couldn't get possibly worse, they did.

The dinner had a really nice 50's vibes expect if there were actually people maybe you would get a bit more of that vibe.

"Hey Caroline," Delaney said to the 70 year old looking woman.

"Good morning Beatrice. Take a seat. The dinner is empty today. Guess everyone partied too much, eh?" Caroline said.

Delaney (or now called Beatrice) sat down at the very end of the row of booths. Caroline followed us and gave us menus.

"Usual table? Order when ya ready," So she left.

Delaney was acting fine. Nothing had happened and everything was alright. I wasn't alright though. I wasn't okay with this.

"Delaney, you tell me now what I want to know. All morning you have been ignoring me like if I did something to you. I ne-"

"Azure, shut up," Delaney interrupted me and continued, "You passed out in Calum's arms yesterday. We were freaking out because we thought with the fall you might of hit your head. Michael, Calum, Emerald, Clementine and I went to the hospital. The doctor told us you had drugs in your system. He told us which one and it's one that we call 'Melody'. This drug is basically LSD, just 10 times more powerful. The drug was developed to make people who can't see colors well see colors. Doctors tossed it out though. It gave horrible side effects and not only that but long term effects. We think someone might of spiked your drink when you set it down," Delaney sighed.

Drugged? I was drugged? Why would someone do that to me? Who would want to hurt someone on purpose?

"We never found out who but in reality it doesn't matter now. Doctor assured that the drugs would flush out completely by this morning. He did tell me that you would see colors for a week or so. The group brought you back to the party all passed out and set you down onto the bed. I called your mom and told her you fell pretty bad. I assured her when took you to the hospital and that everything was alright. I'm done talking," Dee sighed again.

The information she had just given me was a lot to process. Passed out? Drugged? Hospital? It was so much. It had even left me with more questions.

"And what happened to you? I have a feeling a lot more went down than you are telling me," I said.

"Well," Delaney paused and starting thinking, "Michael and I got into a fight,"

"Wait...what about?"

"It was about me lying to him about the soulmates thing. Emerald told him while they were in the waiting room. We went outside the hospital to talk. We fought at first but then he smacked me and told me he never wanted to see me again. He left. I haven't heard of him since then,"

By this point, Delaney's voice was cracking. She looked down and a tear dropped into her coffee. Delaney knew that at some point this would happen. She loved Michael and wanted the best for him but in reality keeping everything from him wasn't the best.

At this point, I was crying too. Nothing was really alright right now. All I knew is that we were gonna be okay. Delaney was gonna be okay. Michael was gonna be okay. I was gonna be okay. Life would go on as usual. Everything would be alright.

Dee and I went back to our usual selves. Although, I was feeling very spacey but I could deal with it.

We finished our dinner and went back to the car.

"Dee, what color is the car?" It wasn't Michael's red truck. It was grass color.

"It's called green. How about if we drive around and explore the world? I'll show you the colors. You'll be seeing them around a lot and you need to get educated,"

"Sure,"
