"Okay. So you got all the colors down?"
"Yep. Blue, Black, Brown, Red, Purple, Pink, Yellow, Green, Orange, White, Gray, and the colors in between,"
"Right! They're called the secondary colors and then there are tertiary colors. From there on the possibilities are limitless!"
Delaney had been mentioning colors for the past hour. We were on the road to this place she had been told about. While we were on the way, she decided to point out and name colors. I was amazed at how many colors there were.
"Hey," She said. I looked at her and her face wasn't a smile or a frown but it was stern and serious, "I'm sorry on how I acted earlier. I should have told you when you woke up,"
I smiled at her, "Dee I get it. I'm sorry too,"
She smiled back at me and started talking about how she had learned a Spanish idiom called the immortality of the crab.

We had arrived at a strange looking building. It was brown and old. At one time, I could have been an apartment building.
"Azure! Let's goooo!" Delaney grabbed my hand and we started running towards the building. We entered in a rush and also went up the stairs in a rush. There were at least 6 floors and I had only gone to 3 before almost passing out.
"AZURE, C'MON THIS IS IM- oh FRICK FRICKITY FRACK I FORGOT YOU NEEDED TO REST," Delaney got down where I was lying down, "Okay, Breathe in. Breathe out,"
Delaney kept saying it for 3 minutes before she got me up and we kept going up the stairs.
We got to the sixth floor and Delaney had covered my eyes before I could see anything.
"I want to say something real quick before I let you see. Here it goes...w-"
"YOU AREN'T GONNA TELL ME YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH ME OR GAY OR SOMETHING BIG ARE YOU?"
"No! Let me talk, okay? So when Clementine first introduced you to the group, I saw you and I knew you were special. You told us you couldn't see colors and that opened my curiosity about you even more. I still haven't figured you out and I hope that one day I do. Meanwhile, I wanted to show this,"
Delaney uncovered my eyes and all I could see is colors. Color threads were all lined up vertically. From red to purple.
I was amazed. The feeling was something beyond words. Beyond 'wow', 'amazing' or any word in the dictionary.
"Did you guys do this?" I asked
"Yeah. The first time we did this was for Luke and Ashton. Their story is pretty interesting. Michael and Luke had been acquaintances all their life. Same grade, same classes but just never made a stable friendship. As well with Mike and Ashton, they followed each other on Facebook or something. Destiny brought us together and we started including both in the group. They got along so well and we all noticed that. One day I was going to pick up Ashton to go to a party. I went into his small apartment and saw him making out with some random guy. I screamed out of shock and the guy left. Ashton was a closeted gay. So he started crying and not just a sob, I mean hardcore crying. He was so afraid of people finding out he was gay. I managed to calm him down and I assured him nobody would judge him for it,"
"Did he tell the group?"
"Not right away. He went to tell his family first. I was there for support. It was so comforting seeing his family crying out of happiness. His mom was proud and so were his siblings. A week later he told the group. Everyone was so happy for him but Luke acted differently. Ashton wanted to find out why. Before I tell you what he did here's Luke's story. He had a girlfriend and his family was pretty conservative. Especially since he only lived with his dad and his brothers. His mom had died when he was 7. They went to church every week. Read the Bible in the mornings. They were pretty hardcore. So when Luke started developing feelings for guys he basically shut it off completely. You know how it goes,"
"So then what did Ashton say?"
"He confronted him one day after school. Luke asked him not to be harsh but Ash got defensive quickly. He asked him if he had any problems with the gay community. Poor kid could barely talk so he was a stuttering mess and he started crying. Ashton took pity on him and took him to his apartment. They had dinner and watched a movie. Luke out of nowhere starts explaining all his crap and Ash finally realizes that he was just dealing with a lot of feelings. They get to know each other better from then on, they both start seeing colors but neither of them tells each other. So Michael and I found out about it. We created this building with the help of the group. We brought them separately and blindfolded. Luke started on one side of the building and so did Ashton. They finally met up in the middle and had their first kiss. The rest is history,"
I looked around in silence. I was just amazed at everything that was around. I was barely on the first part of it and I had so much to go through. There were a few people here too. My guess is that after Luke and Ashton they told more people and it became a public thing. It was such a nice thing to do.
Regardless of what I was going through I realized life was beautiful at the moment.
