CHAPTER 22

The sun is now setting making the ambience look serene. The orange hue adorning the sky making everything look beautiful and romantic, the setting sun casts it's light over the couple. So, breath-takingly stunning! My gaze falls on Riad, I smile.

The sexy-lady (I don't know her name so I call her that) forwards a small red velvet box towards Urooj, who takes out the ring and forwards it to Liqa, she blushes and takes the ring. Rizwan forwards his hand and Liqa slips the ring into his finger. Everyone clapped. Accidently my gaze falls on Riad, the sexy- lady whispers something to Riad and they chuckle. I look away.

Rizwan also slips the ring and everyone claps, I clap too. The couple is then made to sit on the throne and guests one by one come to meet and bless the couple. Ruchi comes to me and begins to talk about the sexy-lady, she too envies her.

'I think she is Riad's gf'

I didn't like it when Ruchi calls her that, I don't think Riad can have a girlfriend, he is too simpleton to handle a girl. To avoid further chattering from Ruchi I send her off to see if the carters are ready, dinner will be served shortly. Ruchi hesitated but leaves nevertheless.

I go to the orchestra and compliment them for their work and also asked them if they needed anything, they replied in negative.

'Maam' one waiter calls me; I go to him. I am tensed when he informs that Paneer tikka is over. I didn't know what to do, how can Paneer tikka get over? I guess the guests really liked them. Now, there isn't much time to make more. I asked them so serve whatever they have, there is not much time for dinner anyway.

I turn around and see the sexy-lady coming to me, she smiles warmly. I simply smile back formally.

'You are the wedding planner, Aleesa. Right?' she says brightly. I nod my head. She then goes on to praise my work. I am happy that she liked my work, her words giving me confidence.

'Thank you'

'By the way my name is Hanan. Hanan Hooda' she introduces herself forwarding her hand for a shake.

'Nice to meet you. Aleesa Siddiqui' I introduce myself and shakes her hand.

Hanan looks above my shoulder and waves at someone, I turn around and find Urooj waving back. Hanan looks at me again 'Aleesa, you should meet my sister-in-law. Urooj' she says brightly. I am stunned to know her relationship with Urooj. But I didn't want any awkward confrontation now so I made an excuse

'I need to check on dinner' I say and rushed from there.

It's 10pm, the guests have left and its only I and Ruchi left at the venue. I speak with the manager of the resort wrapping up everything there too and come back to the beach where everything is being wrapped up. Ruchi looks at me excited, I am relieved. We hugged each other happily.

We make way to our resort, Ruchi suggests we sit by the water at the bench and enjoy drinks and relax. I refused because I am just too tried, I want to sleep. Tomorrow evening is our flight back to Pune, unlike how we had come, this time we are taking flight directly for our return. Ruchi then makes me promise that tomorrow morning and afternoon we will spend at the beach and also in the water.

'Get your best bikini, baby' Ruchi winks at me. I smile and nod my head. But unlike always, this time I wasn't much excited.

After we came back to my hut, I quickly changed into my nightwear, loose pink Tee and black shorts. I opened my hair and lie on the bed. As I close my eyes, I could see Urooj's and Atif's smiling face and then Adnan's sad depressed face. I shake my head and turn to my side trying to sleep.
